"Lee's mom doesn't scare me," Taylor said as he peeled an orange in his cell. "I can beat her son at pretty much everything."
"It seems like you don't really like this Lee kid," Benji said, concentrating on a deck of cards in his hands.
"I mean, Lee's a cool guy. But sometimes, not cool," Taylor popped the full orange in his mouth. "Like nowff."
Benji played a card then scurried over to the opponent side and took a card from the stack. He scurried back and played another card. "Why isn't he cool now?"
"He says he's gonna take my girl away," Taylor laid his head down on an uncomfortable pillow. "Not that I believe he could, but I get anxious just thinking about how they're both outside and I'm not."
Benji put the cards down. "Is that why you asked about escaping? I highly don't recommend it."
The image of Lee's mom staring down at him earlier that day came to Taylor's mind. "Do you know how the other prisoners tried to escape?"
Benji scratched his head. "I can't remember the solid details exactly... I once planned an escape with three of my cellmates and we just kinda ran fast in opposite directions in open sight. Probably why all of us got caught.."
"Yeah you shouldn't have done that," Taylor said. "I'm gonna do a sneakier way."
"Wait, you're gonna escape?" Benji exclaimed. "You can't do that! The Hawk's gonna catch you!"
"I'm not afraid of her. Besides, I found out on the way here that the train that takes new prisoners to jail has a compartment that has no guards. I can possibly sneak onto that and get a ride back," Taylor looked outside his cell.
"Hey...then...can I come along?" Benji asked.
Taylor let out a heavy sigh and nodded his head.
The rain suddenly started pouring out of nowhere. "What the hell?" Lee cried. "It was perfectly sunny two seconds ago!"
Ara ran towards the main building of the school with her coat raised above her head. "Ugh!" she pushed her wide-rimmed glasses up her nose and finally reached inside the building. Taylor and Lee followed right behind.
"My DS!" Aiden's voice screeched. He turned back to see his DS lying in a rain puddle and he ran back for it. Xia shook the rain off her raincoat. "I had a raincoat in my backpack in case it would randomly start raining like this. It finally paid off," she giggled.
Ara stuck her tongue out at her and watched the sky darken from the doorway. "Who would've predicted this would happen?"
Taylor sighed again. "We go at night."
