This is an idea that literally came out of nowhere.
So I was thinking about X factor and blah blah and I thought about what if there was a contestant who's cheating?
A good story idea that you can start a novel with is:
A fairly average person at singing enters a singing competition, where she or he cheats! Maybe she or he lip syncs or something. So basically, you just follow the person on their journey of cheating in a large singing competition.
You could add drama, have the person's secret almost be revealed. A pretty good plot line idea if you ask me!
