Reader's Pov:
My mum always dropped me off in the same place every school day. Today was no different. She had dropped me off by the playing field and the old decrepit building by the school.
The car jolted to a stop; I quickly grabbed my bag and glanced at the small clock on the dashboard: 7:55am. I stumbled out of the car, trying to balance my heavy bag. I traded hurried farewells with my mum as my sister sat in the back, infatuated with her phone.
I shut the door and started to stroll the short distance to the gate as the car speed off. A sweet aroma caught me by surprise, it smelt of surgery butter icing.
There was a bakery about two streets away so it couldn't come from there. The cafeteria would never make something so sweet especially this early in the morning, it must be something else.
I shook my head bringing me back to my senses and breaking my train of thought. I took one last whiff of the alluring scent then entered the dim place know as my school, making the delicious smell fade away.
I sighed as I leant against the wall of the empty school; I got there so early that you could actually watch as a third of the teachers arrived. I soon sat on a bench and waited patiently for my friend, Sami's, bus to arrive. I cursed at myself for not bringing my phone .
??? pov: I hummed away as I mixed my extra special blue icing, staring out my window looking for some amusement. I stopped searching when I found a girl abruptly stop, she held a small smile on her lips , I wonder what's she is thinking? It's a shame I can't read minds. The mystery girl shook her head in disapproval then entered the school across the road. Hmm?
