Chapter 35: Little White Lies

•Niki's P.O.V•

I opened the door roughly only to see Ethan standing. " Hi." He cutely said. I scanned his arms and saw that his hands were in his pockets.

He's not even doing anything! Why am I blushing!?

"You're cute when you blush.." he scratched the back of his neck. I cupped my cheeks feeling the heatness and blushed even more. "um.. so what brings you here?" I asked.

"I left something ," he said. "well then come in," I opened the door wider letting him in and closed the door. " What did you leave?"

I opened the fridge to get a drink for him. A water bottle was the first thing I saw. As I turned around a pair of blue eyes stood there. My voice hitched, "E-Ethan?".

" This." He pulled my hips towards his. The water bottle slipped from my hands.

Push him away! He's a fuck boy!

But then I stayed there. Motionless, face to face with an angel. My breathing changed, it was shallow. My fucking heart?

It felt like it was gonna fall out of me. What the fuck is going on?!

"N-no. Ethan." I triend pushing him but failed terribly, his gripped only grew tighter. He leaned closer to my neck.

His warm breath left goosebumps. He kissed it lightly. He looked me in the eye and down to my lips.

I was desperate. Looking him in the eye like this made me melt. "Ethan.."

"Niki i change my mind i l-," our heads turned to see who it was that barged in the door. "Roi?" I pushed Ethan away.

He stood there in shock. "What is he doing here?" Roi pointed at Ethan. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

"What are you doing here?" Ethan shot back. Their voices were rough and deep. I didn't know what to say. Ethan and I's body were close again somehow. He pulled me closer without me knowing I guessed.

"Niki, come on let's go to my house," Ethan dragged me by pulling my hand. "No. You're coming with me." Roi snatched my hand away from Ethan.

"Niki.. you're coming with me. Right?" Ethan gritted through his teeth. "I-I..", i really didn't know what to say. But then the thought of Betty popped into my mind.

"Ethan.. I'm sorry. You.. you have a girl.." his eyes darken. The blue oceanic eyes I loved now full of dark, unwanted storms. "C'mon Nik. " Roi said me earning a glare from Ethan.

Ethan was frustrated, I saw it. "What ever. " Ethan muttered following a sigh after it. He pushed Roi out of the way and went out. "So.. you're coming to my place right?" He smiled awkwardly.

Why were they so intimidated by each other? Did they know each other? Is there something I don't know?

Not knowing what to say I asked him a question instead. "Do you know Ethan or something?", his jaw clenched as I mentioned his name. "Cause.. you guys were really.. reall-."

"I know him very well," he cuts me off and rolls his eyes in annoyance. Maybe they had a bad past?

"Did you guys fight or something..?"

I looked down and played with my feet like a child. "Look Nik, i know you're really curious but let's just not talk about it okay?", his voice was stern. He tried to be calm and polite, I could tell.

I nodded. "But please don't go near that freaking guy."

"Why? He's a nice person Roi. And he's-,"
