CHAPTER 3
"Ms. Dickson!" Mr. James called out to me. "Uuum.. May you please repeat the question?" I said. My head was on the desk and I wasn't paying attention, so I was completely lost. "I asked you if you would please remove your bag from the seat so that the new student, Mr. Lockhart could sit down." said Mr. James. "Oh.. I knew that." I muttered, completely embarrassed. A few children in the class snickered. As soon as I removed my bag from the seat I looked up to see who this "Mr. Lockhart" was.
My breath caught in my throat, and my heart forgot how to beat. Coming towards me was the boy who I visioned before coming to school. How was it possible, that you never saw someone in your entire life, you have a vision about them, then BAM!! They're assigned the seat next to you in your English class.
When I finally got my breathing at a normal pace, I dared a look over at the boy. He looked at me and scowled.
Whoa... So I've never spoken to the guy once in my seventeen years of life, had one little vision of him, a complete stranger by the way, and suddenly we're enemies.
You know, maybe it's not the guy in my vision, I thought to myself. I wanted to look at him again to check, but didn't want him to see me staring, so I nudged my pencil at the floor by his side, pretending like it was an accident. I picked it up ever so slowly and looked up at him.
Okay, now I'm really freaking out, because that was absolutely, one hundred percent the boy.
For the rest of the class I just lie with my head on the desk until the "BELL OF FREEDOM" as I liked to call it rang. As I walked to my Math class I heard "Hey J-D! Wait up!!" I sighed in frustration and turned to the voice. I so wasn't in mood to talk right now. "Hey Megan!" I tried to sound as enthusiastic as possible, but my best friend clearly could tell I was faking. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Just got alot of things on my mind" I replied. "Care to enlighten me then?" Megan asked. "It's nothing really, if I need to talk about it i'll com to you." I lied. "Suuure" Meg said in a sarcastic tone. She always new when I was lying. She read me like an open book. "Anyway, I gotta get to class, see you at lunch Meg". "Later J-D",she replied.
Math class went by in a blur, all I could remember was walking out of class and the teacher shouting "Don't forget to do your homework!" to all of the students as we left the class.
Finally it was lunch. I texted Megan and told her that I wouldn't be eating in the cafeteria with her today, so she could go eat with Johnny one of our closest friends. "I seriously need some quiet time alone" I said to myself, so I decided to go to the most quiet place you could find at Clinton High School. The library.
