Chapter eight

Chapter 8

"Class partner up, Janette and Megan you can't be partners".

We both glared at him then said fine. Meg willfully chose Johnny, so now I have no one to pair up with. Half of the girls in the class were asking Jason to be paired with him but he was just turning them down.

They left with pouting faces. Haha suckers, I laughed in my head. Soon everyone was paired up except me and Jason. "Well buddy I guess you know what this means" I told him.

"Yup we're partners". I felt like I was supposed to be upset but I was rejoicing because now I can make all the girls jealous, muahahahahaa.

"Class the person you are paired with along with yourself are to create a model of the solar system and state at least five facts about each planet, including pluto". At least one person from each group wrote down the instructions, in this case i was the one who did so. "Uum Jason?" I called him. "Yea".

"To make this way more easy and organized, I will get the info on the planets, and you can create the model, then when we're both done we can just practice how we are going to present it to the class. Okay?" I just told him that because I don't really want to hang out with him alot. I mean we're already paired for some other project that I have no idea what it's about, and more importantly. I feel like we should not be friends and that I should hate him, or be angry with him for some reason.

Anyway back to class, why do teachers talk so much. Jeez.

I'm so fancy you already....Jan! I was rudely disturbed from my internal song by the annoying redhead behind me. "Stop singing so loud!" I guess it wasn't so internal, my bad. "Sorry" I said with a laugh. "Yeah, now pay attention, I can only collect so much notes for you". "Okay, okay fine". I looked across at Jason. I can't stand him, his presence alone just upsets me. Ugh! It just aggravates me that he makes me angry and i don't know why.

BANG!! "Who the heck!" I was cut off by the stupid blonde haired female dog in front of me. She banged her two hands on my desk like for real! You can't be serious! "What do you want!" She looked at me and rolled her eyes, as if it was obvious, and I don't even know what it is! "I don't want you hanging out with him".

"Sorry pretty girl, but I have no idea what you're talking about". She rolled her eyes again. What is with these girls now a days and rolling their eyes, jeez. "I see the way you look at him, and you keep getting paired up with him, I don't know if you are asking teachers to deliberately pair you up with h".

"Wait what!" I cut her off. "You mean Jason! I don't even know the guy, and trust me, I ain't nothing like you. I don't throw myself at guys, and by the way!! Do you not notice we are in the middle of class, and he!" I said making all sorts of weird hand signals in Jason's direction. "is sitting, right here". He sat there looking surprised, then amused and began chuckling. "I mean way to be subtle Amber". I said laughing.

"Whatever Jan-ette" she said cutting my name after the syllable and saying it like it was some sort of disease. "Just stay away from him!" She spat out rolling her eyes and flipping her hair behind. "Why you still here doe?" I asked her she turned as red as a tomato. Anyone could tell she was angry, as if I care. She opened her mouth to say something but I cut her off "you know what save it, i'm not interested". She was about to storm of when I added. "Oh and Amber!"

"What!" She fumed. "Keep rolling your eyes! Maybe you'll find a brain back there!" Some day. I didn't even realise the whole class was listening until I heard the laughter erupting from the class, and apparently the teacher was outside talking to someone.

"Good one Jan!" Johnny tapped me on my back. I just laughed. When Mr. Fisher entered the class again he seemed upset, he looked at me or at least I think it was me and glared. "Okay then". His face then turned into the one of the most hideous and disgusting faces I have ever seen. Only for a split second though. "What in the world".

I looked around the class, apparently i'm the only one who saw it because everyone else didn't seem affected, but Jason must have heard me because he looked at me in a surprised, upset and in a curious way. "Excuse me" I said rushing out the classroom.

I ran, and ran until I arrived at my locker. I sank down onto the floor, and started breathing heavily. Why on earth is this happening to me, first in the bathroom now this. I must be loosing my mind, I think I will start going to the school counselor.

My head was in my hands, and I was getting worried. "What's wrong?" I looked up to see Jason walking towards me. Why does he care, doesn't he realise I don't like him. "Nothing, nothing is wrong" I lied.

"Really? Because in class and when I walked up to you a while ago you looked as if you had seen a ghost".

"Yeah well maybe you need to mind your own business". Worst comeback ever, think before you speak Jan.

"I saw it too you know". My body stiffened at his words. "Really?" I said, he nodded his head. "Well do you know what it was?" I asked him. "Isn't it obvious?" He said.

"Obviously not, that's why i'm asking?" I replied. "Well obviously it's a demon" I gasped.

"And I know you saw one or some in the bathroom today".

"Ho how did you know that?" I said shakily. "Because I can sense them, they are attracted to you, so I saw you enter the bathroom and then I sensed them". He said as if it were nothing. "Why are they attracted to me again?"

"Look we can't discuss this now" he said. "But why no" I was cut off "because I said so!" He shouted in my face giving me a glare. It seemed all too familiar. The glare, the demons, him.

"Wait I know you!"
