Hey! Only 17 readers? Come on. I have 525 readers on my other book. Can we maybe make it up that high? Maybe our goal for the next week will be 40 or maybe 50 readers? Tell your friends so we can make our goals! Thanks! I'll try to update faster. I know they aren't coming fast. Sorry! :)
As I walked into the lunchroom, I saw Lexi sitting down at a table, with towel, shivering.
"Lexi, were aren't wet. Why do you have a towel?" I asked. She didn't answer, she just removed the towel from around her, and it revealed a dark mark on her stomach.
"Lexi! Are you ok? Where did that come from? It doesn't look like a spill. What happened?" I said quickly.
"She can't answer. When we got her out of the water, she was talking, but just when she was about to explain what happened, that dark mark appeared on her, and then she couldn't talk," my friend Lilly explained.
"Poor Lexi!" I said, sitting down next to her. She shivered. She tried to talk, I could tell.
"Do you think it is from the water?" Lilly wondered. I shock my head.
"No, I was on there too, and I am fine. That couldn't be it," I answered.
"Oh, poor Lexi. We better dodge any colored tiles, for the rest of the year!" Lilly said.
"Well, that should be easy. There is only 12 more days of school left," I commented.
"We have to find out what that is on Lexi, now!" Lilly shouted. And we were out the door.
"Ok, let's see if I get in the water and back out, the same thing will happen to me," Lilly suggested.
"Ok. Jump in," I replied. She jumped in with a big splash. She got out, dry. Lexi looked scared. She came out dry, just like the Lexi and I.
"No m-" Lilly said. She was cut off, a dark mark appeared on her arm.
"Lilly!" I yelled.
