Max and Will split up when they reached there street. Will slowly opened his door to his family watching TV.

“Hey honey, want to join us?” His mother asked.

Will's heart nearly stopped when he saw what was on the screen.

“Here we'll rewind for you.” His father said, and big blue letters form on the screen.

Will stared at the screen, his family was Catholic, very Catholic. He wasn't expecting anti-gay documentary.

His little brother sat between his parents, an “ew” escaped from the 9 year old as two boys pecked each other's lips.

Will sat down next to his mother, usually he had to sit through religious videos about God himself, he wasn't prepared for this.

When the documentary ended his mother asked, “Will you don't know any gays right?” He tried to calm his heart rate, “No mom, never.” It actually disgusted his that his family was so one sided on the topic. Will slipped into his room, letting out a huge breath he didn't know he was holding, and began to cry. “I'm not gay.” He said out loud to himself before starting his homework.
-
“Mom can I go to Max's?” Will asked walking down the stairs.
His mother gave him a weird smile.“You've been with this Max alot huh?” Mom it isn't like that. “Yeah..” He hurried out of the house before further interigation.

Walking up the street he saw Mike walking down the street with his Walkman, listening to music.

Will was about to hide behind a bush, until Mike looked up and smiled. “Hey, Will.” Mike said trying to break the tention from when they last spoke. “Hey, I'm sorry..I overreacted.” Will said scratching his neck. The other boy smiled again, nodding. “Walk?” Mike asked, suggesting Will join his walk.

He never did tell Max he was coming, so he had no reason not to go with Mike.

“So..” Mike began as they started walking, “I know you like me.”
Will nearly choked on his own spit, “What!?” “I also understand you come from a religious family.” The small boy thought he was dreaming. “So I won't push you..” Mike stopped walking grabbing Will's arm so he stopped too. “But I want to help you.” Will shook his head, “You've got it all wrong, I'm not gay-”

Mike put a finger to Will's lips, to make him stop talking. “You won't even admit it.” Will tried to keep his cheeks from turning pink. “I like you too, so let me ask you..” Mike said the first part looking at the ground. “Do you hate me?” Mike asked, Will shook his head. “Do you think I'm..” He paused looking for the right word. “Do you think I should go to hell?” Will's eyes widened, “What the-No, Not at all!”  Mike nodded, “You just think I'm wrong.” The boy said not really asking. “Lower your voice!” Will hissed. Mike shook his head, “Your parents really fucked up your mind.” Mike said leading them in the direction of his house.

“My sister might be home, but she always stays in her room so it's fine.” Mike opened the door the second he closed it behind them he blurted, “Kiss me.” Will was actually frozen with confusion. “It's okay, you're not there yet, even though I'm dying for you to be.” Will was surprised with how calm Mike was being. “What would happen if your parents saw you kiss me, Will?” Mike questioned. Will smiled, not a regular smile, a twisted smile, empty. “If my dad saw me..kissing you..” Will said awkwardly, “He'd grab a bat, or maybe just his fists, and beat the shit out of me. My mother would most likely have my little brother watch to be sure he would never attempt to kiss a boy, and I'd either be given a therapist to 'make me straight' or I'd get kicked out.” Mike's jaw dropped looking at the other boys smile. Will said it calmly like he was telling the weather. “Will..that's illegal. He can't do that, under the law your safe.” A few tears slipped from Will's eyes. “Under the Bible my dad doesn't give a shit.” Mike gave the boy a hug, resting his head on the others shoulder. “This is going to be more tuff than I thought.” Mike sighed, not leaving the others arms.
