Oh my god. I'm so nervous. I don't know why I agreed to this! Samuel is so cute and me? I'm so... ME! It has to be a joke right? The funniest, cutest, nicest boy in my psychology class can't be coming over to my house to watch movies tonight right?
Take a deep breath Eliza, in and out. I sound like a middle school girl going on her first date right now! Grow up you are 21! The doorbell just rang. Okay okay just be natural he already likes you so just go with it, be yourself!
"Hi Eliza." I hear Samuel say as I open the door. He is standing there with a bouquet of daisies. I hate daisies but I won't tell him that.
"Hi Samuel, come in please I have everything set up in the living room." I say smiling as he hands me the flowers.
"These are for you. I hope you like them they came from my grandmother's flower shop." he says as I take them and look down at them.
"Thank you so much. You can tell your grandmother that they are beautiful." I say lying about how I feel about the daisies. "I rented a bunch of movies, I wasn't really sure what you liked." I say as I put the flowers on the kitchen counter and walk him to the living room.
He starts browsing through the movies that I have and he sighs, "You picked so many good ones I can't decide." he says chuckling.
"Oh, well thanks. I just didn't know what you were into. I pretty much like all movies so I don't care which one you pick. Just pick something you haven't seen yet." I say smiling as I join him on the couch.
I am glad we picked my house to have the movie night at because I feel much more comfortable in my own home.
"Well the problem is, is that I have already seen all of the movies here." Samuel says.
"Oh shoot! You're kidding!" I say as I look through the movies with him. For a moment or hands connect and I feel the heat rush to my cheeks. I pull my hand away and get off the couch. "Well I have some movies of my own I could go get if you would before interested in those?" I say to him kind of rushed out and slurred together. He flashes me those perfect white teeth of his and looks down at the ground. He is so adorable.
"Yea we can take a look at those." he says while running a hand through his hair.
'I JUST WANT YOU TO KISS ME ALREADY!' I thought to myself as I walked away.
"Did you say something?" Samuel asked me. Oh crap. I think I said that out loud.
"No sorry just thinking about where my movie discs are." I said with a nervous smile. He smiled back and I turned to walk away again.
When I came back down Samuel was on the phone with someone. I stopped and listened to his conversation. Call me crazy I just wanted to know!
"No she is really pretty I feel so nervous." I hear Samuel say to whoever is on the other line. I smile to myself. There is a pause where the person he is talking to is probably talking and then I hear Samuel talk again. "I don't know it's never happened to me that's why I am asking you!" he says. Samuel must be nervous about our date. That makes me relax a little knowing I am not the only nervous one. I hear him laugh and he starts to speak again. "I just have this feeling about her. Its like-" just then I dropped a DVD out of the case and curse at myself I hear Samuel say goodbye to his friend and hang up. I walk into the living room and smile.
"Sorry about the wait, I couldn't remember where I had them last." I say handing him my case of DVDs. He grabs the case and starts to flip through it.
