Hunter was down on the sports oval with Nate waiting for Coach Davis, who was busy tidying up the baseball plates, to get the class underway. Coach Davis had asked for assistance but was flat out rejected by Hunter who wasn't in the mood and was sporting a painful face.

Besides wasn't that what teachers were paid for?

Hunter's attention was drawn up to the bleachers. Luxor and Evie were laughing, and envy crept in because he wanted to be the one who could do that.

Not long after Celeste joined them making them jump. God, he despised the celestial blonde-haired being more than words could express. She was a pain in his ass, always sticking her nose where it didn't belong and creating problems at every opportunity. Not that he needed any help in that department. If it wasn't against the rules he'd expose her, but Celeste would do the same, and he couldn't reveal the truth. Yet.

Coach Davis boomed into the megaphone and a couple of minutes later the trio joined them.

"Now I have all permission slips thanks to Mrs Everstone's prompt reply, we can finally organise mini-golf. Where's Owen?" Coach Davis asked.

"Obviously not here," Nate said angrily.

Despite him being in a foul mood with Hunter his gaze was directed at Luxor. Hunter wished he would have punched his face until it was entirely unrecognisable, it was what he deserved.

Coach Davis wasn't impressed but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary, he was in a perennial foul mood. How he ever was employed as a P.E. teacher was mind-boggling. Nephilims adapted well in their extended roles, Coach Davis was the son of a 'Defender' Grigori and had served in World War 1, World War 2, Vietnam and Afghanistan war just to name a few. It was obvious this was his hardest task.

"Well, we can't play with three people." His eyes darted around. "Everybody look to your right because right now that's your partner on our little excursion. Meet there at six o'clock tonight, a text message will be sent to the location. Watch out for the repercussions if I don't see each and every one of you."

Hunter glanced to his side, there was nobody there which was strange considering that there was just an even amount. From what he could see everybody had been linked up and this could be a good thing, maybe he could get out of it. Not all rewards were great, this being a perfect example.

A shrill voice yelled beside him and pointed a finger. "I am not, and believe me when I say, under any uncertain terms partnering up with that demon spawn!" For a supposed sweet girl, she could go right off.

"Celeste." Luxor vocally criticised her, startling Hunter.

The trouble was about to start, and two of the most volatile people were about to get involved. Nate was already on the warpath due to the altercation he had with Hunter and Melita always itched for trouble.

They crowded Celeste their dominance was a force to be reckoned with even with the strongest of people but Celeste brushed it off. They weren't impressed by her lack of cowardliness, their deadly glares and posture was a testament to that, they were about to launch when Hunter got involved. Inserting himself as the leader of his group he held them back.

It didn't mean Hunter was finished with her, not by a long shot. "Oh, for Heaven's sake, do you think I want to be stuck with you! Stop acting like your namesake because we all know your looks belie your true form. Evie, you're my partner." He growled out almost revealing the truth.

He bypassed Luxor without a second glance, needing to get away from everybody, especially Luxor. The worst thing that could happen was if he was stuck with her.
