Part 8

(Sohye's POV)

"Did you hear about the new student?" I accidentally heard one of the girl in my class said. I just shrugged it off because everybody always get hyped up when there's a new student.

"Yes!!! I heard he's really good looking!" Another girl added. My ears and brain seem to pay attention to the conversation but my eyes are still glued on my notebook. Why am I even curious?

"And tall!!!" Another girl added and they all laugh and clap like a group of seals.

"The new guy became a hot topic in such a short time." Lina said beside me.

"Yea."

"I heard he's in Jungkook's class." Lina said and I just nod.

First class went by as usual and I said goodbye to Lina before going to my second class. I went inside the class and sat down in my seat which is the second to the last row of the room. The teacher came in and it seems like the girl next to me isn't here today.

"Class, we have a new student today." The teacher announced and the girls cheer. They already know who the new student is. But I don't.

A decent looking guy walks inside and the girls immediately swoon over him. I can see why he became so popular even though this is his first day. His tall form, handsome face, charming aura, and... nice hair. Of course girls will like him. The girls in my school generally like guys who's good looking. Even if he's a total jerk.

*cough* *cough* Kim *cough* Taehyung *cough*

"Nice to meet you all. My name is Kim Yugyeom. Hope we will get along." He smiles brightly and introduced himself.

"Nice having you here. Please go ahead and sit at an empty desk." The teacher said and get ready for today's lesson. Yugyeom glanced around for an empty desk and I'm praying hard for him not to sit next to me. The girls are pushing their seat mates away so that the seat next to them will be empty. Yugyeom eyes met mine and I immediately looked away. Hearing footsteps approaching me, followed by the sound of moving chair beside me.

"Hi." I turned to face him and frown.

Why?!

"Someone already sits here." I said and he pouts slightly.

"Can I sit here for today?" He asks desperately. I gave him a confused look and and slowly glance around the classroom and I understand him. He doesn't want to sit with those girls.

"Alright."

"Thanks." He grins. "My name is Yugyeom. What's your name?"

"Sohye."

"I hope we can be good friends, Sohye." Yugyeom offers his hand and I gladly take it.

"Sohye wait up!!!" Yugyeom shouts but that just made me quicken up my pace. I want to avoid him because I can't handle the looks anymore.

"Wow you walk really fast." He breathes heavily. Of course Yugyeom will catch up with his long legs.

"Let's eat lunch together." He smiles brightly. I was about to refused but someone speaks.

"You two know each other?" My cousin, Jungkook, asks with bright eyes.

"Yea. You know her?" Yugyeom asks after they gave each other a bro hug. I'm confused. They know each other?

"Sohye is my cousin."

"Oh my god!! Really?! That's awesome!!" Yugyeom exclaims with wide eyes.
