Part 18

(Taehyung's POV)

For a moment I thought I was the one who confessed but Sohye's expectant eyes gave me a certain answer.

"Huh?" Was all I managed to get out.

Sohye lowers her eyes and slowly free her hand from my hold. "Forget about it. I'm sorry."

"That was so stupid of me. Just forget about it, Taehyung." She laughs sadly, not looking at me. Sohye continues shaking her head and whispers to herself things I couldn't hear.

I sigh and cup her cheek with my hand to make her look at me, but Sohye lowers her head even more.

Then I gently grab her chin and lift her head up so that her eyes will meet mine. We finally lock eyes and I can see how disappointed she is.

I laugh breathily.

"How come you came to conclusion before I gave you my answer." I tap her nose slightly and she blinks.

So cute.

"You thought I'd reject you?" I ask, cupping her cheek again.

"You thought wrong." I pull her head closer at the same time I lean in.

Our lips meet and a tingle sensation flow through my body. Sohye was shock at my response and she clearly didn't expect me to kiss her.

Again, she thought wrong.

Sohye seems to regain her thoughts and return my kiss. I smile slightly when I notice her clenched hands that are clenching her shirt tightly.

I slowly lean back, breaking the kiss. But Sohye puckers her lips and lean forward, not wanting to break the kiss. After a while we lean away from each other and pant heavily from the lack of oxygen.

Our faces are still very close to each other. I stare at Sohye and she stares back. Her eyes are innocent and her lips are pinker than usual due to the kiss.

"So you're my boyfriend, right?" She asks and look at me with her puppy eyes which made me like her even more.

"Yes." I smile gently and rest my hands on her waist.

Sohye breaks out a wide grin and wraps her arms around my neck tightly. She squeals into my neck and I laugh at her childish but extremely cute actions.

"I thought you'd reject me, considering how we used to hate each other?" She says with her face buries between my shoulder and neck.

"Hate is a strong word. We didn't hate each other, we just dislike each other." I told her and stroke her head.

"Tch Alright." Sohye leans back and look at my face. Then she smiles again and I can't help but smile, too.

Sohye and I walk back out hand in hand. Everyone seems to be cleaning up and a group of people are pouring water over the big bonfire.

"I guess the games and activities ended." I mumble.

"Sorry for keeping you busy. You could've stay out here and play with them." She says.

"I wouldn't want to be out here if you're not with me." I say and she blushes.

"Yo where were you two?" Namjoon hyung appears with a towel still wraps around his upper body and asks.
