Part 12

(Sohye's POV)

Taehyung and I run away from school as fast as we could. We reached the park near the school and pant with our hands on our knees.

"That was fun." I pant.

"Yeah."

"I never skip school before." I told him once we start breathing normally.

Taehyung raises his eyebrows in surprise. "Then let me show you the fun of it." He smiles and grab my hand in his.

His hand is big and warm. The corners of my lips curve upwards as we walk hand in hand.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Hongdae." Taehyung replies.

"But it's too far away."

"We're going to take the bus." He says and then stop. We're both at a bus station.

The bus arrived and we both got on. To our surprise, there is a group of students from another school on the bus. All boys. They're probably skipping school just like me and Taehyung. There are only that group of boys and the two of us on the bus. No one would ride this bus at this time anyway.

I followed Taehyung from behind as we walk pass the boys, who are sitting at the middle rows. A boy whistles when I pass him and the rest laugh. I quickly follow Taehyung to the back of the bus and sit down next to him.

Some of them turned around and checking me out. I frown and scoot toward Taehyung unknowingly. Taehyung understood the situation and wrap his arm around me, bringing me closer to him. The action causes me to blush slightly and hung my head low.

I heard Taehyung murmurs some incoherent words at them but I'm thankful that he isn't causing a fight right now.

Taehyung pulls the string from above, telling the bus driver to stop. We got up and walk out with Taehyung's arm still around me. I flinch when hearing male voices from behind.

They also got off.

"Let's go." I told Taehyung and we both walk away from them.

"I haven't been here since forever." I say in awe as my eyes look around at the various shops in the street.

"Can we eat?" I ask Taehyung with bright eyes.

He smiles and me and nod. Then we went up to a random food cart.

"Young lady, try this." An elder woman says kindly to me. She hands me a piece of sample and I happily thank her.

"It's very delicious!!"

"We'll get two serving of that." A deep voice says. I turn to Taehyung in surprise.

"Such a good boyfriend you are." The woman coos like a mother. She was smiling happily at Taehyung and I with warm eyes.

"He's no-"

"Thank you." Taehyung respectfully bows and smile.

What?

I stare at him in disbelief. "Are you out of your mind?" I hit his shoulder and he groans in pain.

"Ow! What was that for?"

"You ain't my boyfriend." I say with an attitude.

"Why the attitude? Don't you want a boyfriend like me?" He says arrogantly.

"Pfffft." I scoff at his overly big ego. "No thanks."

But in fact I was smiling ear to ear.

"Here's your food." The woman came back with our food.
