"Hello there! It's. So very nice to meet you!"
Pink hair. She's tall with a willowy fraim and deep green eyes. Willow trees are my favorite trees to sit under and read a book. Maybe with some tea. I should probably do that later. What kind of tea should I bring with me amd from where should I buy it? More importantly what book to read?! Maybe I should-
"Same to you!" she said, snapping me from my buzzing thoughts, " My name's Sawyer. Could you help me..."
Overhead I heard the train rattling on the train tracks, the constanty thump thump occasionally broken with the random clank.
I wonder what train tracks are made of- what are trains made of? How many people are on each plane? How are their days going- I hope they're having a nice day!
I see that the girl is saying something but my eyes can't focus very well. Do I look at her eyes? Wait, where do I usually loom when I talk to people? The left eye or the right? Or do I even look at eyes at all? Maybe it's the nose or the mouth. No, that's just wierd, I'll just casually glance around and- Oh! The trees today look so green! A little coffee colored colored bird perched its feet upon the branches.
Maybe I should get the coffee instead of the tea.
And the sky today looks so blue, the azure luring me away from my current dilemma (what was I so worried about again?) and - "Hello!"
A handing waving in my face. My eyes focus again, no longer resembling the glazed donut I had earlier today. It was a really good donut....
"Oh! I do apologize! What did you say your name was?"
I was met with a confused face that was heavily laced with annoyance.
"It's Sawyer, remember?", she said slowly, enunciating her syllables. "I just told you a few seconds ago..."
The sky really is blue today. Is that a turtle shaped cloud?I hope you guys like this poem! It's aboit a person with ADHD (something I personally have) and it's kind of just a little window to our minds in the form of very realistic situation that has happened to me many a time. Hope you like it, leave a comment. Constructive criticism is always appreciated :)
