"What's your favorite color?" A little boy once asked me,
So I answered him, "Blue, Red, Green, Yellow and White,
Different shades of color are pleasing to the eyes,
Same as with people having different forms of smiles."
Blue is for the music that binds people in a single beat,
Sometimes we listen to foreign songs though we don't understand the lyrics.
But we still groove to it, tapping our hands and stomping our feet,
It's like a universal language because of the rhythm we can't forget.
Green is for the environment, our ever dearest Mother Earth,
Like a lady, she cries like a river when she's got hurt.
For so many years pollution has been a big dismay,
But you and I can make a difference by protecting her starting today.
Red is for the love for our fellowmen, brothers and sisters,
We were created with a special purpose and that's to serve one another.
Instead of building walls and gaps that define our differences,
Let's walk hand in hand and build those strengths from our weaknesses.
Yellow is for the friendship and unity among nations,
Respect is the key behind the diversity in our beliefs and traditions.
Ruled by a Queen, a President or a Prime Minster,
There's nothing impossible if countries will humbly support each other.
White is for what we've been praying for so long and that is peace,
Misunderstandings are inevitable but we can always hope for the best.
Imagine a world where there are no wars, cries, and sufferings,
Definitely, every second of our lives is worth remembering!
So the little boy said, "I can clearly see a rainbow right now,
It sparkles from here up above the clouds.
When I grow up, I'd like to share this message with the other kids too
And let them know that there's a beautiful meaning in every hue."
