Outside

Ara

"Ara, palo!"

It was a whole week of exhausting practice. I was tired, committed playing and to my course.

He was vocal since he's training us.

Pero kapag hindi, you need to try harder.

"Ngayon, mga wing spiker naman ang papalo." He was loudly speaking to us with a calm mode.

"Ara," tawag sa'kin ni coach. He was staring at me head to toe, "are you sick?"

"No, coach." Sagot ko.

Physically not. But mentally was.

"Then, get some energy." He's boosting our system. Whoever gave birth to coach, he was the one who's perfectly suitable for being a coach.

I nodded to him.

I reminded myself to stop overthinking. My sweat just brought me to stop playing and sat down in bench.

Mika came. Middle blocker kasi siya kaya mamaya pa 'yong training niya.

"Is it because of your failing grades?" She opened the one that I don't needed to talk about.

"Malapit na akong matanggal sa team," I shyly turn my head down.

"Pursue course you really want," she taps my shoulder.

"But, this wasn't my parents want." I'm starting to cry and begin to sobs.

"Pero sana, huwag mong ipakitang failure ka. You need to pass it. I will help you." She offers me help for many times but not this.

She wasn't involve.

I stopped for a minute when Coach Ramil came.

"Mika," he called her. "Yes coach?" She looked at him.

I looked to him with my teary eyes.

"But don't stop." Tinapik tapik niya 'ko.

"I've been reminding myself not to." Sagot ko kay coach.

"I've been also there, looking for some reasons to continue this... pero alam mo kung ano ang nagpatuloy sa'kin para marating ko 'tong profession as a coach?" The audacity in his voice making me feel little. But, somehow he was giving me an advice that I might bring until the rest of this.

Or, will I continue?

But it suddenly changed when I'm invited to watch Palarong Pambasa yearly and that was started at year 2007."
