Ch 4- The Transfer Student

If it wasn't hell enough, it was soon announced that another monster would join us. However, this time, Kaneufdraak had a paranoid look on his face.
I was a bit frightened.

Awaiting the carnage, I informed my comrades about it and I went on to investigate more about him, knowing that my only source of information is Kaneufdraak himself.

"So...Who exactly is this new student?", I asked him. "Someone who went into hiding after the Astral Break Event. Heh, and he decides to show himself out now.", Was his reply which startled me.

I could sense the danger, yet, there was nothing I could do to avoid it. The next day, he was here...

His aura was definitely comparable to the S class monsters. Yanis is what he called himself, a half vampire, and a terrifying presence, as expected.
Yet, he was ranked A class.

He was hostile to everyone, drunk with power and eager to increase it. He challenged the S class Vampire, Janex, to claim his throne and rise to the top.

Everyone was silent, Kaneufdraak sighed, and the others silently prepared for the worse. Janex, however, didn't even sweat.

"Alright, why not?", Janex replied. We weren't ready for this.

"Very well, prepare for your end.", and Yanis dashed towards Janex. The only event I witnessed next was a huge explosion, spreading red and black aura everywhere. The shockwave hit me hard enough to knock me down.

That followed with a series of attacks directed towards each other and chaos stood everywhere.

Due to the constant shockwaves, I lost my consciousness for a while and when I came to my senses, I saw Yanis exhausted, and Janex whispering into Ka's ears...
And Kaneufdraak's sinister grin.

Ka emitted a dark aura around him, blocking our view.
Janex was never seen after that day.

With matters settled down, Ka announced the promotion of Yanis to S class, and half jokingly welcomed him.

I couldn't explain what I saw. We used to believe that the monsters were united, yet, they still seek blood from each other. It doesn't make sense....

Are they really fighting against us?

Why do I want to kill them-....

I will kill them.

I decided to investigate the maniac transfer student, for even I couldn't tell what was about to happen in the future.

The next day went by normally, as if nothing happened. However, I noticed a peculiarity with the Transfer student. It takes him quite some time to recover after going all out.

This Intel could be extremely valuable to us Monster Hunters. For now, I still don't understand what exactly is their source of power, yet I know I'm closing in on them.
Revenge will be ours.
"You're just a puppet", I heard a voice behind me, and reflexively took a defensive stance towards the direction of the voice.

There was no one there. I'm sure I heard it.
