Chapter two: September 2nd, 6 am.
When Emily woke up this morning she couldn't tell that this would be the day her life would change. She told herself that this year she would be brave and fearless but she wasn't expecting her school year to begin like this. As she stood in her shower getting ready for school she kept repeating to herself that this year would be hers, this was her final year with her brothers and half of her friends before they would be leaving this year and she it would just be her, Nicole and Sebastian. Turning off the water she began to do her morning routine stopping so often to stare at the empty bed in her room, this would be her first year getting a roommate. She couldn't help but wonder who this person would be and why they weren't here before the entry test or classes that start off the year. As Emily finished up getting ready her phone chimed with a text message from her group chat meet us in the metal room we have somethings to discuss]] arte. Knowing Artemis if Emily didn't leave her room in the next second the hot head would teleport here and kick her ass. Glancing at the clock Emily shook her head, 6:50, she would end up being late for breakfast and getting the gross foods. she quickly began running down the hall hoping to make it to the metal room and then to the dining hall before 7:15 on days like this she really hated her friends need to have morning meetings when they had nights to themselves, she also regretted asking ms.lilly for a far dorm this year. Finally reaching the metal hall Emily leaned against the wall to catch her breath.
"Took you long enough" Emily jumped, turning to face Artemis. The short redhead had a look of anger on her face. "Sorry but you texted me very last minute and not all of our powers are great for moving fast"
"Let's just go, the others have been here waiting on you" entering the room Emily immediately spotted luke, she tried not to stare at him knowing that Nicole would be able to feel her emotions. "Let's get down to business" her brother's voice boomed in the room, turning to face him she took in the familiar features of his face, she hadn't seen him in a couple of months since he decided to return to their family for the school break but she couldn't bear she her mother and twin." listen jade as something to tell you, me and her have been going back and forth over this the past couple of months, a large portion of students from her keep going missing"
" wait what are you talking about Damian" Sebastian took a step forward " you can't just lay that on us at 7 am without any background, I mean I'm pretty sure a lot of kids leave once they complete their training"
" seriously D, I mean Clarissa left the school last year and she definitely isn't -" Lucas jumped in trying to defuse the situation
"Listen luke, jade has been on a mission under mr.gregory because he also believes something in the air is wrong it's different" Emily watched her brother walk to his bag and pull out some papers, she wasn't sure what was happening, Mr. G was known for being sort of delusional but for some reason her brother was siding with the teacher it left her on edgy turning to face Nicole " are they serious ?" Nicole nodded, they seem to think this is a real threat. Emily watched her friends argue about whether this was actually something worth investigating or if this was just another one of mr.G's crazy ideas.Emily looked at her phone and saw she was going to miss breakfast, standing up she glanced at her brother and shook her head "EVERYONE LISTEN UP" she shouted out, everyone quickly turned around and face her " I'm going to be the middle man here " giving her Artemis and her brother a pointed look " as per usual, by the end of the week i will be able to tell you whether or not we -" Artemis cut her off by raising up her hand " we don't have a fucking week, from what we've seen in a week's time another student will go missing , I mean don't you find it suspicious that the only students going missing are level 3's, something is going to happen em and we will be their I can't wait for you guys to decide to be good people." jade grabbed her bag up with an angry swing and stormed out of the room. Emily looked between Lucas and her brother before grabbing her bag. " look dami, I want to believe you and her but if this is a repeat of last time we can all get kicked out" she sighed looking into her brothers eyes " but you have till Sunday night to come to me with enough information and i'm in" As Emily walked to her first class knowing there was no point in going to the dining hall she looked at the page her brother had handed her with a list of names of students in level 3, she didn't know a lot of them but the name Isabell Davi stood out to her, she remembered her as a girl who was in her division last year, she had super speed and healing. While Emily stared at the name she realised that Isabell never completed her training ,she still had to years left an eerie feeling fell upon Emily.She began looking up and down the list but none of the names struck her as kids in her year or younger.
