Chapter 5 September 4th 7 am

For some reason damian would not stop staring at catrina, she kept trying to focus on what luke, nicole and artemis were saying about level three power classes but she couldn't ignore the burn of his stare, she figured when she woke up this morning and didn't see emily in the room that they must have had a group meeting about her, which is something that emily told her would probably come up in the near future but he seemed to be the only one still not on fence with her and she was sick of it. It was bringing up memories of the incident a time that catrina would love to avoid on all levels.

" I'm going to find Mr treason to set up my training schedule" Catrina practically sprinted out that she didn't see the look luke and emily gave to damian that he stood up and followed her out of the dining hall.

" The school doesn't let people leave the cafe alone" his voice was deeper than she remembered it the first day.

Catrina began to nod, she could barely remember when mr.treason told her this rule but she also was sick of damians brooding nature." Did you come here just to give me more dirty looks or was there a purpose to this" she was hoping that he wouldn't be able to see how scared she was of being alone with him.

Damian let out what sound like a chuckle catrina wasn't too sure " my sister told me i should come out here"

" Well you really didn't have to because i'm fine and i can tell you don't like me"

" I don't ?" he was smiling but she could see his trap from a mile away

" Whats with the personality switch, huh ?" Catrina stopped walking and faced him as she talked, she was trying to seem intimidating but he was taller than his sister and catrina didn't even look intimidating near emily.

" Nicole said i can trust you and i trust her judgement, my sister seems to trust you so-" but catrina had already stopped listening to what he was saying to her a familiar feeling filled her body. Nausea, she couldn't tell if it was from the fact that nicole had been reading her mind and emotions or from something else.

"All students are supposed to be in the dining hall right now right ?" she asked, she couldn't turn to look at him something was keeping her attention down the hall the had just walked down.

" that's.. That's what i just said. "

" something's not right, someone's-" Catrina could pinpoint the sickness she was feeling she had to act fast and she had to act now, she began running down the hallway hoping that he would just follow her before he began asking questions.

" What's wrong catrina , why are you running"

"I think someone's dying! i can feel it" as they learned back down the hall they saw a girl drop to her knees as a thick black smoke rolled over her body, Catrina heard damian yell what sound like a name before he pushed her aside and tried running to the girl. His hand had barely grazed the girl's arm when her body had crumpled into the smoke and disappeared. Catrina could feel death hanging in the hall a thick heat, she couldn't look away from damian on his knees where the girl's body just was. She could hear slight yelling from further down the hall in the cafe but she couldn't move.Damian turned to her with fury in his eyes and a completely different demeanor than he had just a few minutes ago.

" What did you do !" Catrina just looked at him , she was shaking and scared she couldn't shake the feeling of death from her body but the girl they just saw was very much alive.

" I said what did you do !" He stood up, using his height and build too close her off from the spot she was looking at.

" nothing i didn't do anything"
