Aria's POV

Me, Hanna, Spencer and Emily were in a café, it was shortly after Ali was buried. I kept thinking about the funeral.

“Why was Jenna there?” I asked to no one in particular.

“Because she’s back” Spencer grumbled.

“The cops acted like we were suspects or something” Hanna says.

“Do you think we looked guilty?” Emily asked.

“Why would we, we haven’t done anything wrong” I answered.

“Except lie, about The Jenna Thing” Said Hanna. I gave her a fierce glare.

“We promised we’d never bring up The Jenna Thing again, remember?” Spencer said in a low voice. “It never happened.”

“Have you found a way to forget? I said suddenly. “I still wake up sometimes in the middle of the night!”

Spencer casted a look at me. “Aria it was an accident.”

Hanna poured something into her cup. A man behind Spencer was looking at her and raising his eyebrows.

Hanna rolled her eyes. “It’s medicinal” She said. “Cramps”.

“I don’t get it” Emily said. “How can –A know something about me that only Alison knew?”

“Ali knew all of our secrets but... we never knew any of hers” I stated.

“I knew some” Spencer said, looking shifty. My eyes widened.

“Go on”.

There was a small silence. “Talk” Hanna ordered.

“I can’t” Spencer said.

“Spence, no, you are not gonna just drop a bomb like that and just clean them up” I said, annoyed.

“She’ll kill me if I told you” She spoke.

“She’s dead!” Hanna snapped. Emily gave a weak sigh.

“She was meeting someone that summer” Spencer began.

Emily cut her off. “I knew she was keeping something from me” She looked around. “From us”.

“Well why didn’t she want us to know?” I asked.

“He was an older boy. And he had a girlfriend” Spencer said.

“Who was it?” asked Emily.

“She never told me his name” Spencer answered.

“That’s only half a secret” Hanna sighed, rolling her eyes.

“Well it’s more than you ever got from her” Spencer snapped.

I thought for a moment. “How was it Ali told us nothing, and we told her everything?”

“Because she made us feel like we were part of something special” Emily said.

“We were” Hanna smiled.

“I miss that” I said, thinking of the good times, when Ali was with us.

“Me too” Spencer said.

“I miss Ali” Emily said, speaking for us all.

Hanna looked down at the bracelet Emily was wearing. Ali got all of us bracelets that said our name a while back and she had one herself too. “I can’t believe you still wear that” Hanna said.
