A/N: Hello! So, I have been recently.... Inactive. Yeah that's one way to put it. I'm really sorry, so I hope this makes you forgive me... MOSTLY A FILLER THOUGH, SORRY.
King Isanic...
Has a nice ring to it. Don't you agree?
In exactly an hour, I would no longer be Prince Isanic, but King Isanic. A smile spread across my face and I saw my pearly whites in the gold-rimmed mirror placed in the room. I ran my fingers through my styled brown hair and turned away from the mirror. I swept across the room until I was at my window, staring down below through the open sliver in-between the closed curtains.
Down below I saw green, probably from the courtyard. I looked up to see the view of a bright blue sky and few clouds littering the sky.
Lifting my right hand I push one side of the curtains back, leaving more of the sight exposed.
A trickle of people are entering the main doors below. As the sun shines it casts a yellow glow on top of my guests. A few of the tall trees block the sun, giving a contrast with dark shadows on the perimeter of the courtyard.
I see the guards at the door, in their neat and orderly uniforms. The guests were all dressed up for the unique occasion, ladies wearing expensive over the top dresses, and the men wearing their fancy suits.
I stepped away from the window and walked across the room to where the door was. The new dark mahogany door was a deep contrast from the polished silver door knob. If you noticed, I said the word new. I had been placed into another bedroom, to stay for the time being. A guard was also placed outside my door, so that I wouldn't get "attacked" like my father.
Resting one of my hands on the door knob, I used my other to knock on the door. Three loud thuds got my door opened by the guard standing right in the door way.
His hair flowed down to his shoulders, dark and straight, with a few curving out of the way. His fingers inched towards a sword that hung at his side, that was threatening to fall with each step. His uniform was pressed and perfect, a deep and royal red. Gold buttons tassels added to the effect. His skin gleamed in the light, dark yet with beauty. Lips pressed into a straight line, he was your typical guard, arms buffed up with muscles, legs long and ready to run swiftly on command. His face had a hard look, a look that seemed impenetrable. On a closer look, I noticed a badge pinned onto his perfect uniform. "Samuél," it read.
"Yes sir?" Samuél asked, no emotion showing. His tone was flat, eyes still and face like stone.
"I would like to exit, please," I say smoothly. I walk forward trying to get past him, but he blocks me. "To the Commeners room, so, uh, excuse me." I tried to get past once again, but he moves to block me again.
"I cannot let you go Prince Isanic," he says. "I was assigned to keep you safe until the upcoming ceremony."
"Well what if I let you follow me around," I suggested. "Then you can still keep me safe."
Samuél thought for a moment before nodding his head is agreement. He turned his body to the side, allowing me space to get through. I slip past and into the large open hallway. I trail down the hall, not hearing Samuél, but I know he's right behind.
How?
It's Samuél. I could figure that out already.
I turned when I reached a bend in the hall, now being more aware on which rooms I passed. Down the long hall, a pair of wooden double doors were embedded into the wall. I stopped when I reached them taking a deep breath. I faced the doors and rapped my knuckles on the oak door.
The door squeaks open slowly, and I place my hands behind my back. When the door is almost fully open, I see the girl who opened the door. She has light brown that reaches just past her shoulders, hazel eyes, and a petite frame. She jumps in surprise when she spots me, and a quiet squeak leaves her a mouth.
"Hello," I say to her. She lets out another surprised squeak. "Um, could I please go in?" She moves out of the way, revealing the rest of the room, and the rest of the servants. They're all wearing the more fancier uniform dressware, all styled and fitted right.
When they see me, it's like they stopped everything.
They all started to curtsy and bow, except for one. You can picture who. The one and only, Michelle Jaton, daughter of Ashley Jaton of the Sauer castle.
Yep, her.
She stands at the back of the room, putting weight on her left leg, and her arms crossed. Her hair is in layers, longest piece of hair reaching mid-chest. Her blond hair was straighter than usual.
I walk over to her.
"Hey," I causally say. "So... How's it going?" She just rolled her eyes.
"Well, if we're being polite, I would say that I'm doing good," she said calmly. "But I guess I can't, since I'm a PESKY WOMAN." She emphasized the last two words.
"Look, I'm sorry," I take one of her hands and hold it in my hand. I play around with her fingers, and she watches me, like I'm a almost extinct animal. I'm guessing she doesn't know what to expect. So I continue. "It's just been that with all the pressure of everything, I've been kinda... What's the word I'm looking for?"
"Snarky? Rude? Unthoughtful?" Michelle answers for me.
"Yeah, that," I let go of her hand and look at the tiled floor. After a second I look back up at her, and into her eyes. Still green. "Can you forgive me?"
"Hmm, maybe," she says playfully. But I can tell she does accept my apology. "But, even after you become king, promise me that you'll still be the Nick I first met and loved since day one. Promise me."
"I promise," I say with conviction.
She reaches up to hug me, and I hug back. She's on her toes, and I start to wonder when I started to surpass her height. It must've been years ago. We pull away with smiles on our faces. I step back and look behind us.
Everybody's staring.
Some had goofy smiles, others had jealous faces... I wonder why. I turn again and face Michelle one last time. I mouth a goodbye and swiftly stroll out of the Commeners room, and into the almost empty hallway.

It's about to happen.
I'm currently waiting outside the doors, waiting for when I enter the Great Hall. I tap my foot nervously and the guards standing at the edge of the door silently glare at me.
I don't stop.
I prepare a smile for when I enter.
Honestly, I can't wait until this is over. I'm just waiting for the food that comes served afterwards.
Creak.
The large, gray cobblestone doors open. Slowly. Too slowly, making me nervous. The doors reveal their full length, showing the entire hall, and the people inside. Lots of people.
Time to get this over with.
I stepped into the hall, putting a foot in front of another.
Just about twenty more steps until I reach the dais.
A/N I'll stop there. At first when I just started the chapter, it was just going to be the coronation, and just the coronation. But then I realized I needed Michelle and Isanic to be friends for the next part.....
So I added that in. I was still hoping to do the coronation, but this chapter is long overdue, so I'll just publish this for now. At least you guys got like 1,28something words. I realize that's less than usual. But whatever.
