You felt your phone viberate in your pocket. You picked it up to find that you got a text from your friend Shayera.
" Hey, (Y/N)!" the text said, "I'm having a party over at my place tonight and wanted to know if you wanted to come. Oh! And if ya do, can ya bring Bruce along with you? I wanted to invite him too but, I kinda lost his #. "
You smiled, chuckling lightly to yourself. Shayera was one of your best friends, and one of the things you loved about her was her blunt honesty no matter how awkward it made things. You texted her back. "Sure thing," you said, "What time do you want us to get there?"
Almost immediately after you sent the text she responded.
" 6:30- 7:00 is a good time."
You sent her a thumbs up, and put your phone back in your pocket as you went to find Bruce.
You found him at his desk in his office. You smiled warmly and knocked on the door.
Bruce looked up, then smiled back when he saw you. "Hey, (Y/N)," he said, "What's up?"
You walked in, "Well.." you said, leaning on his desk, " We've been invited to a party by a friend of mine."
Bruce's smile grew wider, "Sounds great. Who, when and where?"
You smirked, " 6:30 at Shayera's house." Bruce's eyes widened in happiness, "Oh yeah! I remember her from high school. It's been too long." You nodded in agreement, "yes it has."
