You woke up, chained to a chair. You had a cut on your lower lip.
You did your best to remember how you got here. All you could remember was dancing with one of your investors. Mister... Johnson?
You heard a door open to your right. "Who's there?" you asked.
You heard a villainous chuckle. "Well Well," you heard someone say, "look who finally decided to wake up. It seems that Clint did his job after all."
Clint.. that's the guy you were dancing with. He was supposed to get you here?
"W-Why do you want me here?" you asked, "what do you want from me?"
He stepped out of the shadows, the joker. You glared coldly at him, "You're supposed to be in jail," you snarled, "Batman already took care of you."
He laughed maniacally, "Well I'm here aren't I ?" he asked, spinning around, "in the flesh!"
You didn't answer him.
"Anyways," the freak said as he pulled up a chair and sat across from you, "It's not you I want.. you my dear, are just the bait."
You arched your eyebrow, "Why would Batman want to save me when he has better things to do?"
The Joker booped your nose, "Well clearly, you haven't put two and two together like I have."
"The hell are you talking about?" you asked.
He crossed his arms, "I have been trying to find out that man's identity for years, (Y/N). I have looked at hundreds of people who were potential candidates, and finally! I've found it out."
He smirked at you, "Does the name, Bruce Wane sound familiar to you at all?"
You crossed your arms, keeping a blank expression on your face as you thought.
How could he keep up with a schedule like that if he was in fact Batman. Hell, you couldn't hardly even keep up your own schedule. If he was though.. it would make sense. Countless times you recalled Bruce leaving parties early.
Finally you concluded that he was right, but you wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that.
"No," you said, "Never met him before." The villain paused, "But Clint tells me you co-own a company with the man."
"Our parents were business partners and we inherited their positions," you replied, "But I've been so busy with my share of the load I never had the time to associate with him outside of business related matters. Sorry."
Your conversation was ended when the two of you heard grunts, and thuds outside the door.
The Joker smiled. "He's here."
