I awoke in the same room as before and still had my legs in casts. I sighed. I wondered what would happen to me after I get out of the hospital. I also wondered about many other things. The nurse came into the room again but now there was some strange guy behind her. The guy didn't look like he was a doctor, but I didn't know him either. The nurse asked me, "Are you feeling any better? This man is here to see you?" "Yes, I'm fine, thank you." I replied. The strange man walked up to me, put his face next to me and whispered into my ear, "I know that you have powers, Corrina. I also know that those powers make you different from everyone else." I jumped back a bit. I was shocked, how did he know my name? How did he know I have powers? Who is this strange man!? I asked the nurse if we could talk alone for a while. After she left me and the strange man started to talk.
I asked him, "Who are you and how do you know my name? h-h-how do you know I have powers?" He answered almost immediately, "My name is Leonel Travis. You may call me captain Leo. I am the leader of a secret team of people just like you. That is also the reason of how I know your name and powers. I came to recruit you." "People just like me, that not possible is it? And what do you mean by recruit me?" I asked. He replied, "Yes there are more people like you that have powers. Listen, I am the leader of a group of people that have powers. These people use their powers after they are tested on their skills and they help out military, cops, etc in missions. We need you to join us and help rid this world of evil." I was so very confused about all of this. Is this a dream? Am I just dreaming all of this? Yeah that's it i'm probably still blacked out from earlier. I pinched myself without him noticing. I didn't wake up. Is this really real? I had so many thoughts swarming my brain! I yelled aloud, "Ugh, I can't think! This is all to much for me to handle!" He tried to calm my rage, " I get that this is overwhelming, but please just calm down or you may faint again." I realized that earlier I had blacked out and I didn't want it to happen again, so I had to calm down. I asked him, " What good am I going to be when I can't even use my legs anymore?" I felt like crying and getting mad, but I managed to hold back. He said, "That won't matter anymore if you join me?" I told him that I needed time to think about this and if it was okay to call him when I was ready with an answer. He gave me his number and left.
