Adjusting to the New Me

When I woke up, I was in a different room with a bed which I was laying on, a small desk with a chair, and a small stand with a TV. In the chair, Leo was sitting and watching me. He said, "Finally you're up. You were asleep for like 4 hours." "Really I was asleep for 4 hours! What did those 3 surgeons do to me after I fell asleep." I replied "Oh I thought, I told you that they were going to fix you up. Take off the covers and see for yourself?" Leo said with a smile. I took off the covers and saw my legs. They weren't in casts anymore, yet they weren't damaged either. Then Leo said, "Try to move your legs, but take it easy, you will have to adjust to them, okay." I tried to move them with all my strength. They moved. I turned to sit up and then I tried to stand up. Unfortunately I was not strong enough to stand and so I fell on the floor. Leo came over and helped me onto the bed.

"I'm sorry that I'm so useless right now Leo." I said. "It's fine we will work on it. I have a walker that you can practice getting up and walking with. If you ever need help just ask. I am your leader after all." He said. Leo has been so nice to me the entire time he's known me. He may look mean and scary, but he's really nice. "Thank you Leo, for everything." I mumbled. He apparently heard me and said, "you're welcome." I began practicing with Him every day for about a week until I was finally able to walk like normal again but I still can't run normally. We only practiced for about 15 minutes, because he did have the rest of the team to care for and train. It was about 7:26 at night and Leo came to my room. He said, "Hey Corrina, get ready for tomorrow. I'm gonna introduce you to the team." "Okay, thanks for all your help." I said. He left and then I thought to myself. I wonder what the others will be like. I hope I can become friends with them and make memories. I hope we can have a lot of fun together. Then I remembered what Leo told me while I was in the hospital. He said, "These people use their powers after they are tested on their skills and they help out military, cops, etc in missions." I realized it won't be all fun and games. I lied there awake for a for hours just think to myself. I just remembered that before that car crash I had just gotten a job at that dollar store near my house and since I was practically living here, I didn't need the apartment anymore. I called both my job and apartment to cancel both things. I quit my job since this is now my job and I canceled my stay at the apartment, since I live here now too. I looked at my phone and it said the time was 9:40, so I figured I would go to sleep.
