Broken Friendship

After I was able to stop crying I thought to myself, not really listening to the lesson that Leo was giving. I thought, "What a great first impression? huh? Was I really the one who gave Kate her power? Am I the one to blame? Why is my life so complicated? Why am I the one who has all these problems? WHY!?!?!" I heard Leo calling my name. I answered with a "What? Sorry I must have spaced out." He said "You should pay attention more" He went on teaching the class. I tried to listen as best as possible, but I couldn't help thinking about Kate and her having the same powers as me.

After class, I walked up to Leo and asked him what room Kate was in so that I could talk to her. He gave my the number 112. All the rooms from 1 to 99 were classrooms or work rooms and from 100 to 150 were bedrooms and lounge rooms, to rest and relax. My room was 113, so Kate's room was right across from mine. I went to my room and started looking for a very important picture. It was a picture of two little girls sitting in a field of flowers. The girls in the photo were me and Kate, in 3rd grade. I grabbed it and left my room. I walked across the hall to Kate's room. I took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. I heard her voice through the door, "Who is it?" she said "I-I-It's me, Corrina. I...I was hoping that we could talk and maybe fix things between us." I said. The door opened and Kate was walking back to her bed. I walked to the desk and sat in the chair. I placed the picture down on the desk. I asked "So when did you start having powers?" "When I was in 6th grade I went home from school one day and everything around me started flying all over my room. When my parents found out that was happening, they took me to a ton of doctors. All of them said the same thing that I had Telekinesis and there was nothing that they could do. I hated my life after that and I remembered that you had shown me your powers. You made things fly in the air and you said you had telekinesis. That's when I realized that you had given me some of your powers. When I turned 18, I left my parents and moved into an apartment by myself." She replied.

 "I didn't even know powers could transfer to people. If someone found a way to remove people's power, would you want your power removed?" I asked. "Yes I would, cause then I can have a shot at a normal life." she said "But would your life really be normal?" I asked. "What do you mean?" She replied. "I don't even know anymore. I guess I went too deep there. Sorry. Hey If I was the one who gave you the power, maybe I can take away your power. Can I try it real quick?" I said. "Sure, but I doubt anything will happen." she replied. I stood up and walked over to Kate. I put my hands on her shoulders and concentrated all of my thoughts on taking her power for myself. I closed my eyes and held my breath to try and focus even more. I heard Kate say, "Omg, you're really doing it!" I opened my eyes and I could see both of our aura's. Her aura was coming towards me. Both of us started lifting off the ground. I could feel all of the power coming to me. When almost all of Kate's aura was gone, I could feel myself slipping away and then everything was black once more.
