Naruto x Sasuke: Forbidden love?

Part 14

Naruto POV

I made it to my apartment. I unlocked the door and let it slowly creek open. The familiar scent of lavender hit me, which I found strange considering it was abandoned for three years. I switched on the lights, before me stood a completely spotless living room.

A note lay on the ground before me. It was from grandma Tsunade.

'Naruto, I've taken the liberty of cleaning your apartment while you were catching up with everyone. I hope you find it welcoming. Welcome home, kid. -Tsunade'

I smiled at the note. How thoughtful. I made my way to the kitchen.

"I should go grocery shopping, shouldn't I?"

"I could accompany you." Kurama responded. "Would you like to be let out?" I asked. "If you don't mind, kit."

I focused my chakra and made a few hand signs. "Release!" With that, I felt the seal on my abdomen fade. With a puff of smoke, a tall man with orange-red hair, red slitted eyes, and fangs, stood in front of me.

"Hello, Kurama." I said, smiling.

"Kit." Kurama said, stretching his arms up. He stood naked, forcing me to look away.

Kuramas human form was quite attractive. From his defined muscles to his crooked smile. He stood at a good 6'3". And had a husky, dominant voice.

"I guess we should get you some clothes, huh." I said, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Unless you prefer me walking in the nude." He responded, an amused smile in his face. I felt myself turn pink. "Right." I said, laughing nervously.

"I'll be right back." With that I made my way back to the front door. Opening it, I found myself faced with black eyes. "Eek!" I ducked, startled. Looking back up, I found Sasuke staring at me with an amused smile. "Oh. Sasuke. What are you doing here?" I said, straightening back up. "I did say I would come by later." He said, his voice still sounding amused. "Kit, close the door. Its cold." Kurama said, walking behind me with a towel around his waist.

There was an awkward silence between the three of us. Sasuke was the first one to speak. "Who are you?" He asked, his voice back to its bored tone. "Um, Sasuke, this is Kurama. I don't believe you two have officially met." Sasukes expression changed to a slightly shocked one.

"What... what is he doing out? And in human form" I heard Kurama growl from behind me. "Don't speak of me as though I'm not standing right in front of you." I felt the air grow heavy with tension. "Now, now. Both of you. Calm down. This is a new jutsu we have been working on. It can only be release if both of us wish to release it. And don't worry, he won't cause any trouble." I said to Sasuke, who was still staring daggers at Kurama.

"I was just on my way out to get groceries and other necessities. Would you like to join me?" I asked Sasuke. He nodded an agreement. "Alright. Kurama, I'll be back soon. Make yourself comfortable. And don't answer the door to anyone." "Pfft. I'm not a child, kit. But as you wish."

"Of course not, Kurama. Bye." I said, smiling brightly at him. We have gotten extremely close the past three years. Sasuke must have noticed, for he pulled me outside quickly and shut the door behind me. "What was that about?" He asked. "Nothing. Now, let's go. I have to be home soon to cook dinner."

"Naruto, how can you act like everything is normal? You've been gone for the past three years. Don't you have questions?" Sasuke asked, walking next to me. "I suppose I do. But for today I would like to just rest. My questions can wait." With that he stayed quiet.

By the time I made it back home, Sasuke and I had caught up on all the years we missed. He was now a jonin, powerful too. His brother Itachi was alive and well, now a trusted member of the village board. He also admitted other things, like the fact that him and Sakura were extremely close.

The fact made my heart sink, but I had no say in the matter.

"Would you like to join us for dinner?" I asked Sasuke. "Sure." He responded.

Sasuke POV

Naruto has changed a lot. Even her form of speech is different. But she is still as beautiful as ever.

"Would you like to join us for dinner?" She asked, formally.

"Sure." I said.

'Anything for you...'
