"You want to what?"

"I want to join the anbu. I've been training for more than two years straight, and it has to pay off for something."

Grandma Tsunade studied me carefully, as if to see if I was serious on the subject.

"Are you serious about this, Naruto? Joining the anbu comes with a lot of responsibilities. Not to mention all the classified missions you'll be going on."

"Yes, I know. That's exactly why I want to do it. If i'm to become the next Hokage, I need to be able to know how everything in this village works. I want to be a part of something for the moment. And the anbu is in my best interests."

"You're really serious about this aren't you," she placed two fingers on her temples. "Very well, I'll make arrangements."

A smile spread across my lips, "Thank you, granny! You wont regret this." With that I excused myself and made my way to the training grounds.

"Where are they?" I scanned the training grounds, looking for any familiar faces. I called on a few friends to come and train with me, so far none showed up.

"Hey, kit." Kurama approached me from the back, almost undetectable.

"You sure know how to sneak up on someone, don't you?" I looked up at him, his red hair soaked and in front of his eyes. "Decided to go for a swim, I see," I pulled at a strand of wet hair until his eyes came down to mine.

"What did you call me out for?" He brushed my hand off and shook water droplets off his hair, sprinkling me with the cold drops.

"We need to merge for my training. To work on new techniques," I explained, searching the trees for any movement.

"Say less," with that he made a few hand signs. "Release." A puff of smoke appeared, and out of it crawled a tiny fox. Giggling, I mimicked the hand signs, "Release." Another puff of smoke and he was gone.

'Did you miss me?'

Of course I did. Couldn't wait til you were in my head again.

Just then I felt a familiar chakra approaching.

"They're here." I said aloud, turning to the trees to my right.

Just as the wind picked up, they all stepped out. "Welcome to training," I called out.

"Sorry were late, had a little detour." Kiba said, rubbing the back of his head. Akamaru barked an apology.

"We're here now, lets train." Sakura said, right behind him. Hinata waved from behind them.

"We're missing two people," I scanned the surrounding trees.

'Dodge left!'

Doing so, a shuriken shot past me, impaling itself i to the dirt. "There they are."

Sasuke and Neji emerged from the trees. Both handsome and determined.

"All six of you against me," I announced.

I smiled at Sasukes amused expression.

"Let's begin."
