Ship: Ben x Evie

My opinion:
Okay I am just going to be honest. I have been shipping these two together for the longest time now (at least a year and a half). Even though in the first movie they only had one or two very minor interactions with each other, I still shipped it back then. One of the main things that I focus on when it comes to shipping two characters together is their personalities and how similar or different they are. And while these two definitely have their differences, you can definitely see some similarities. For example: they are both very kind, smart people who genuinely care about others, especially the vks that still live on the Isle of the Lost. There are definitely still some differences between the two, such as: Ben grew up in a kind and loving home while Evie did not, Evie cares a lot more about fashion and looking good than Ben does, but there are more similar than they are different. In addition, they had amazing chemistry in Descendants 2 and they shared some moments where it seemed as if one had feelings for the other. They have better chemistry with each other than with the characters that they are dating in the movies. I know that sadly the chances of them getting together are very slim because not only are Ben and Mal together, but also that part of the main story arc in the first movie is Evie realizing that she does not need to be dating a prince (although let's be honest, if anyone deserves to be dating a prince, it is her) I still hold on to that very slim chance that they could end up together. However, if not, I hope that they can at least be great friends.
