Prompto x Reader

-Readers POV-

I sat around the fire with the guys I was on a journey with. I was best friends with Noctis and Prompto ever since grade school. I smiled while they talked and went on and on about the day.

I mainly focused mainly on my big crush, Prompto. I honestly loved that big chocobutt haired boy since we became friends. His big personality and his features were amazing and I loved him! I zoned out as I got lost in his smile, but mine faded when he brought up his new crush...

"Dude! I'm gonna go to Hammerhead to go and see Cindy! I'm gonna prove my love to her!" Prompto blurts and I fix my gaze to my bowl, feeling uncomfortable with him talking about Cindy.

Noctis seemed to notice, and quickly changed the subject. Gladio, Noct, and Ignis knew my obvious crush on Prompto, but Prompto was always obvlivious of it. I poke at my food, taking small bites at a time, still down about when Prompto brought up Cindy.

"Are you alright, Y/N?" I look up and was face to face with Prompto. I felt a wave of heat fall onto me and I nod, before eating my food and getting lost in my thoughts again.

The rest of night, we had random conversations, making Prompto lose his thought of Cindy for that night.

-THE NEXT DAY-

I sat in between Gladio and Noct as we made our way to Hammerhead. Prompto couldn't sit still in his seat, and he went on and on about how cute Cindy was. I sigh and look at the sleeping beauty to the left of me, and then to Daddiolus to the right.

When we got there, I went with Iggy to go shopping for groceries as Gladio and Noctis left to look at weapons.

Ignis informed me that he had everything undercontrol today, so I walked out to run into Prompto.

"Oh, N/N, why aren't you helping Iggy?" He asked, almost confused but excited.

I gave him a confused look, when I state, "Yeah. He said he got today covered. Why aren't you with Cindy?"

He seemed to ignore my question before grabbing ahold of my wrist and dragging me somewhere. Preferably a small cliff so the beauty of the sun above us was shining down onto us.

"Prompto, what're we doing here?" I look to the Chocobutt next to me as he rubbed the nape of his neck.

Before I could process what was happening, he grabbed my shoulders and kissed me passionately.

I stood shocked at first and then I returned the kiss to him before we pulled apart, needing air.

"Perfect plan, huh?" Prompto said with the slightest blush on his freckled cheeks.

I look at him confused as he continues, "When you fell asleep, I asked the guys if we could go to Hammerhead. I used the excuse of me wanting to 'show off' to Cindy and since we usually split up, I knew Ignis had everything checked off and I knew you would come out since Ignis had to get some Ebony. So I took that moment to...show my love to you away from the guys..."

His statement made me turn a dark shade of red. I loved this chocobutt since high school, and he is announcing his love now.

Prompto shyly scratched his cheek and I cup his cheeks and kissed him. He was shocked at first, as he melted into the kiss and I pull away.

"I love you too, Prompto.."
