chapter 16~

as austin and i make our way into the school car park i look around and see Grayson, Ethan, Lilith, Aaron, and Alex. i look at Aaron and Alex and they turn and look at me. they start to walk over to us and i see that Grayson and Ethan are staring at me. i look at the ground then i feel someone put there arm over my shoulder. i look to my left and see Aaron standing there smiling at me.

" hey Lyla, how are you doing?" he says in a concerned tone

" still hurts but i'm better" i say then i smile back at him

i see Alex walk up behind Aaron and says " oh my god. they can't stop talking about you" he says then laugh

" i'll give them a little talking to" austin says stepping forward

" no you won't" pushing his chest

" what are they saying" Aaron says crossing his arms

" just saying how thye 'messed up' well mostly ethan

" yeah because grayson doesn't give a sh-" i say looking down but then i get cut off by austin aying

" go hang out with mallory she will cheer you up" austin says looking down at me

" alright i'll see you around" i say walking away from the boys and walking over to the girls group

" hey lyla" mallory says hugging me

" hi" i say softly 

" i heard what grayson and lilith did. so not cool of them" mallory says looking at me

" yeah but i mean a player is a player" i say shrugging

" but you should talk to ethan because he is ready hurt" mallory says smiling at me

" yeah i will.. just not right now" i say giving her a slight smile 

" yeah that find but lets go into school" mallory says and then the bells go

"that's a good idea" i say with a laugh

the bell goes and the school day is over. austin and i were in the same class so we walk out together. as i walk out i see Ethan standing waiting on the right ride of the door.

" Lyla-" he says standing up straight

" not now Ethan" i say turning away and walking

" Lyla! please!" Ethan says yelling through the hall

" i can't forgive people that lie straight to my face overnight!" i say yelling back. everyone was staring at us

" Lyla just stop hating me!" he yells back at me

" kinda hard when you're yelling at me in front of the whole school" i say then i turn around and walk out of the school wit austin

" that was intense" austin says about 2 minutes after we are out of school grounds.

" what doesn't he get about 'not now'" i say shaking my head and looking down

" you're gonna have to forgive Ethan at some point" austin says looking at me as we walk

" i know just i need time to forgive myself for making the same mistake" i say looking at him.

" okay" he says looking forwad.

we make our way home it was really quiet but when we make i home i open the door and go inside. i walk into the living room an turn the tv on and start watching just random shows. 

about 10 minutes after i sit down i hear a knock on the door. i stay still until i hear austin say 

"Lyla can you get that?"

i sigh and i stand up and walk to the door. i grab the lock and unlock the door then turn the handle. i open the door looking and my jaw drops. Grayson Dolan.

" can we talk?" he says giving me a slight smile

i look at the ground " why Grayson? its over with i don't care anymore" i say still looking at the ground.

" please?" he says softly.

" fine, but we have o speak out here because if austin sees you he might kill you" i say looking up at him

" oh okay" Grayson says taking a few steps backwards so i can close the door behind me. we walk over to a bench on the porch and we sit there. its quiet for a few moments and then Grayson speaks

" so basically on halloween night after we both went to bed and you were in a deep sleep i was still awake, i got a text from an unknown number saying " meet up". i got creeped out and said "who is this". then i got a text back saying 'Lilith'" Grayson says looking at the ground.

" so you left my house while i was asleep then came back in" i say looking at the ground trtying not to let a tear slip.

" well yeah but i only did it because.. Lilith has always had a crush on me. so i thought if i went and saw her and told her to back off she would but she asked me on a date, i said no then she started to cry so i said yes because i felt bad." Grayson says looking at me

" why didn't you tell me?" i say looking at him

" because i was scared of hurting you Lyla." Grayson says looking me in the eye

i look at the ground speechless

" so i didn't tell you and cancelled our date and was going to go to the date and stand up to Lilith and say that i don't like her i like you" Grayson says looking at me

" and then i pushed you" i say looking at the ground

" yeah.." Grayson says looking forward.

" i'm so sorry" i say trying not to let my voice crack

"no i should be that one that should be saying sorry, i lied straight to your face and-" Grayson says but then i cut him off by saying

" but you did it to be with me and get her out of the picture" i say at grayson

he slightly smiles and says " i would do anything to be with you" 

i smile at that comment and i get butterflies.

" i need to talk to Ethan" i say standing up from the bench

" i'm here" Ethan says popping out from behind a car

i jump because it scares me.

" geez you scared me" i say standing up to as he walks up onto the porch where Grayson and i are.

" i just want to start off by saying i'm sorry for lying to you and-" Ethan says but i cut him off by hugging him and say " it's fine etweetee" i say with a laugh

Ethan and i stop hugging and i turn around to Grayson and say " lets restart" 

Grayson smiles and walks closer to me and says " how about we just forget this fight happened"

i smile and put my arms around his neck and say " perfect" 

" is this the part in a love movie where we kiss?" Grayson says as we are inches apart

" i don't know is it?" i say with a laugh but then Grayson kisses me, i instantly feel sparks. i kiss him back passionately, it lasts for 5 more seconds and we stop kissing and just look at each other in the eye. then we hear Ethan talk 

" that was not PG rated" Ethan says

i turn around and look at him and he has his hands over his eyes Grayson and i both laugh.

after a few hours of hanging out with Ethan and Grayson they leave because we have school tomorrow. i am excited to walk into school tomorrow holding his hand proudly.
