The Legend

Two days before we went on the trip to Sparks, I went to the library to find out what the legend was behind that beach. I remember once when my mother and father told me the legend but I forgot some of the details. All I remembered was that there was once this warrior who died on that beach and the gem it owned was locked away into the beach.

So when I went to the library I thought I would find the legend easily since Sparks was such a popular beach. But it took me two days, two days to find it. Can you believe it? The information was separated into many books. It was as if there was a secret message hidden in it. I looked through many, many books until I came to the conclusion of this:

Long, long time ago there once lived a female warrior named Hayley. Hayley had in possession this gem. Some say that this gem gives the owner so much strength and power that the owner is the strongest of all the races of people in the world combined but some say the gem can erase the line that separated the road of Masters from the road of magicians and let them become one. But all of it still remains as a mystery. No one knows exactly the true use of the gem besides the owner itself and the gem.

But when the day Hayley passed away, soon came. She died on the beach and before she died the gem she owned asked her "Would you like to pass me onto someone you choose that you think is worthy of owning me or would you like me to choose who to own me?"

"There is no in this era that is worthy of me to entrust you to. Everyone in this era is all greedy and evil. You would be better off finding an owner by yourself. Someone you think is worthy of owning you." Hayley said in a weak voice. She had both her hands on her sword which she stabbed into the ground to use it as a cane to support herself. She was facing the ocean and simply stared at it remembering the adventures she had in this life.

"As you wish, my owner." the gem said. It flew from Hayley and rise into the sky. It hovered in the air and after a moment there was a little breeze that blew over the beach. When the breeze settled down, there were words on the ground. It said: When I come across someone who has potential abilities, i shall make them my rightful owner. For the time being, I shall lock myself away into a hidden place where no one shall find me. If you are brave enough, step forward, and try to unlock this abyss of power. I shall see for myself if you are worthy in becoming my owner.

Hayley looked at what the gem wrote and gave the gem a weak nod of approval. She took her one last final breath and passed away on the beach. The gem hovering above her shone light onto her body and the sword she was supporting herself with. With a blink of an eye, the gem, Hayley's body, and the sword all disappeared. All that was left that showed that they were actual there was the message the gem left behind for whoever to see it. They were gone from the face of the Earth forever, at least until the gem finds its rightful owner.
