"Ern" I said as I stretched out my arms. It has been 2 hours since I stood up and moved around. We finally arrived at Sparks. I looked out the window and saw it. You wouldn't believe it. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The water was clear, not filthy and dirty. The palm trees that stood around the beach were tall and it gave shade to the people who stood under it. The sky was sunny and there were a lot of people on the beach. Some were laying on their towels tanning and others were either in the water playing or they were on the sand playing volleyball or playing with sand.
We got out of the bus and grabbed our stuff. The teacher handed out our hotel keys to our room. Kelly and I were going to share a room for this trip. We both raced to the beach to get a good spot before the others took all the good spots. We found one by the volleyball court and it was also close to the water.
Kelly and I wore our bikini's under our t-shirt and short. We took them off and raced for the water. It was really hot out and when the rays of the sun touched your skin it felt like it was burning. We dove into the water and when the water touched my skin it was cool. We swam together in the water until we were told to go back to our room. Which was fine with me since I planned to go to the forest when we went back to the hotel to clean ourselves and drop our stuff down.
When we were both clean I said to Kelly "I'm going out for a bit."
"Be careful." she said as I grabbed my key from the table and started for door. As the door closed behind me I heard her say "Don't come back too late."
I walked for about a half an hour before I reached the spot where my mother's and father's grave were. They were buried by the edge of the cliff facing the ocean, where my mother and father took their last breath, where they were killed- murdered! But I buried them their not to bring sorrow and sad memories but because my mother and father loved the ocean. They said that the ocean is so enormous that there is a never ending adventures for you to find yourself.
I sat there staring at the ocean. I try to recall happy memories that my parents left behind for me when we spent those moments together but all that played in my mind was the day they died. It kept on replaying over and over again. The more I force myself to stop remember, the more I keep thinking about it. Finally I got to the point when I couldn't take it anymore.
I got up and walked into the forest and to this waterfall my parents and I found one time while exploring this forest. We were trying to find just the right place for the 3 of us to spent some quality time together and that's when we happen to find this waterfall.
I thought it was beautiful in the morning but who would have known that it was even more beautiful and magnificent at night. From the light that the moon radiated and the clear color of the constant flow of water to the splash that it made when the water fell into the lake, it was just beautiful. There wasn't any other word that could describe it. Just the sight of it made me happy.
I walked over to one of the big rocks that laid on the edge of lake on the bank. The water barely touched the rock but it did wet it. I sat on the big rock expecting it to be hot but it was unexpectedly cool. I guess the air and the water chilled the rock. I took off my flip-flop and placed it beside the rock so the water wouldn't wet it. Then I turn my body, facing the waterfall, letting the water touch my feet. It felt nice. The water soothe my feet from the heat that afternoon when we were on the beach.
I kicked my feet back and forth swiftly. Something in the corner of my eyes caught my attention. I looked at it more closely and I saw that it was shining. The first thought that came to mind was Is it a gem? Is it that gem in the legend? The more I look at it the more it look like a gem to me. I was so curious to find out what it was that was at the bottom of the lake that I took off my shirt and short and dove into the lake in my bikini. I was wearing my bikini underneath my shirt and short because I was planning to stop by the beach before I went back to my room.
I had my eyes set on the thing that was shining at the bottom of the lake and swam towards it. In no time my hands were touching what was shining. I felt a sharp point, it poked my hand when I reached down to touch it. The surface of the shiny thing was smooth. I put both of my hands on the shiny thing and pulled it as hard as I could trying to free it from the ground that imprisoned it.
After giving a few more tries it came loose and I swam to the surface. Holding the object in my hand tightly I tried to breath first and then I brought the object out of the water so I could see what it was. It was clearly a gem. It wasn't as big as I thought. It was actually pretty little. It also looked like it wasn't in its original state. It looked like it was broken into 2 pieces, perfectly. Is it that gem? The gem in the legend? I thought.
As the clouds in the sky started to clear out, the sky was clear and the moon was shining brightly as ever again. The rays of the moon hits the gem and the gem rose from my hand and hovered in the sky as it radiated the moonlight onto me. When the light reached my body, my being, I feel energy going through my body. My body is pouring out energy. Is that even NORMAL? As more and more energy pours out of my body, light starts to surround my body. I stood in the center of the circle of light. The circle was like a pillar. It went from the ground to the sky. I'm guessing this pillar of light is the energy that is pouring out of my body and this is what it looks like it in its physical form. But before I can analyze the situation I was in and my surroundings I blanked out. I blanked out from the enormous amount of energy my body was pouring out of my body. My body has never experienced this so it failed to keep up. All that I see now is total darkness, black, pitch black.
