It was sunday morning and the girl was still laying in her bed looking at the ceiling. She heard a door open and close, so she got up out of her bed and walked out of her room and downstairs. When she gets downstairs the girl see her grand holding her self up on the counter.
" grand are you okay " the girl asked
" honey i have to tell you something but after we get back from your fathers grave " grand said
" alright but hopefully it's good news " the girl said with a worry face
Just then the grand and the girl heard knocking at the door. Grand let go of the counter and walked to the door to see levi, raven, and may standing in front of the door with flowers in hand.
" is the flowers for my father " the girl asked
" of course it is " raven said
" awww my children you didn't have to seriously my son would of liked you guys " grand said with a smile on her face
" of course we had to grand it's your angel son's birthday " may giggled
" and we also wanted to pay our respects as well " levi added
" okay children you ready to go then " grand asked looking at the girl with the cake in hand
" yeah let's go " the girl said with a smile
So the kids got in the car levi, raven, and may in the back and grand and the girl in the front. Once they got to the cemetery grand told the children to get everything out of the back while she walks to her son's grave.
" hello son " grand started " today is the day you would be 43 and laughing and smiling with your daughter but of course the angles got you before i could " grand paused
She felt something cold slide down her cheek and realized she was crying.
" i know you have seen your daughter grow up into a blessing of a child, and i don't want to tell her i have cancer and i'm not taking the treatment because i know it's time for me to go, but like i said before son it will kill her " grand said while wiping the tears away.
" grand i know it's a sad time for all of us but i want to put this on dads grave if you don't mind " the girl asked while walking up to her dad grave
Grand looked behind her to see what her grand daughter wanted to put on the grave. It was a little angle bracelet and the colors were her son's favorite colors blue and baby pink.
" oh child that is beautiful, of course you can put it on the grave " grand said with a sad smile
The girl walked to her fathers grave got on one knee and set the bracelet down and kissed the grave. After that was done the rest of the crew came to the grave set a blanket on the ground and sat down with the cake and flowers.
" here is to james my first and only son who lost his live because of a gross nasty bitch " grand said half sad half angry
" to james " the rest of the group said
They ate the cake and were talking and laughing like grand wanted but then she had a bad feeling then she realized " it's time " was all she whispered and fell back and took her last breathe
The girl and the group got up and tried to wake up grand but it didn't work.
" call 911 now " the girl yelled at levi with tears running down all of their faces
" please wake up grand i can't lose you too " may said on her knees shaking grand
Raven was pacing back and forth because she just saw the death of her grand. They heard sirens close. When the paramedics got down where the kids were, They put grand on the stretcher and in the ambulance and drove to the hospital. Raven called her aunt to take them to the hospital. Raven's aunt jacki talked to the nurse at the front desk because the girl was crying so hard she couldn't even talk.
" oh who is the family member of melissa sky " the nurse asked
" i am " the girl said with tear stained cheeks
" i'm sorry for your lost do you want to say your last goodbye " the nurse said with a sad expression on her face
" can they go with me grand was there grandmother too " the girl asked
" yes follow me " the nurse said
When they got to the morgue the group saw two dead bodies on tables but they weren't grand until the very last table they saw it was grand laying on a cold metal table. With her white hair and pale skin.
" how did she die " may asked the pathologists
" it was stage 4 brain cancer " the pathologists
" but grand didn't tell us that she had cancer " the girl said
" well maybe she wanted to tell you but she died before she could " jacki said
The group said their last goodbyes to grand and walked out of the hospital to jacki's car
" so where are you going to stay now since your grand is gone " jacki asked
" i'm still probably going to live there " the girl sighed
" wait i have an idea what if i partly move in " may said
" yeah that doesn't sound bad i can do it too " levi said as well
" same here " raven said with a sad smile
" really guys you would do that for me " the girl asked
" of course we would we are your best friends and we would do anything for you " raven said
" alright then so when are you guys partly moving in " the girl asked
" tomorrow but we are going to stay the night with you tonight " may said
" okay then it is settled we are going to move in with you " levi said with a smile
Raven's aunt dropped off the group and the girl opened the door to the house and it smelled like grand and mints
" so where are we sleeping tonight " may asked the girl
" in my room " the girl answered
That was the beginning of the girls life and she didn't like it because even though she actually wasn't alone she felt alone because she lost all hope and it was going to get worse.
