As she ran to the river where there was hopefully some dry moss. Honey paw caught a glimpse of Jay star who glared at Honey paw from her den with a satisfied smirk on her face.
"Hey Paw, why are you out there in the rain!?" Snow fang yelled from the warriors den.
"She is serving her punishment." Jay star answered. Snow fangs eyes narrowed but he nodded at Honey paw.
"Not without us." Silver paw protested, dust paw agreed . Honey paw nodded and the three ran out of camp. Honey paw felt relax by her friends company. The three friends made it to the river to see it had risen! Honey paw tossed the dirty moss out of her jaws and grabbed a fresh patch of moss that stayed drying from a rock that hung over it.
"I have never seen the river so swolen!" Dust paw spoke in amazement. Honey paw froze, stunned as she was sinking into the mud.
"Lets go before are mistaken for mud clan cats!"Honey paw called as she pulled her paws out of the mud. Than the three apprentices sprinted to camp. There paws sank into the ground, honey paw kept running to camp and she slid in mud, her fur now plastered. Honey paw let out a growl as she got back up. The apprentices ran on and finally made it to camp.The apprentices fur was pressed on there body. The mud started to wash from honey wings fur but it still laid in her fur with streaks. Honey paw ran to the elders den and set down the clean moss next to the elders, some asleep and some awake.
"Honey paw, we'll set our moss in the corner of the den you can take it after the storm." Dapple Feather said as she stretch after her rest. Honey paw nodded her head and walked over to Jay stars den to tell her about the river but twisted tail, the new rain clan med cat who was thorns apprentice was already in her den.
"Star clan has sent me a prophecy Jay star.." Twisted tail spoke urgently as he stared into the leaders eyes. Honey paw hid behind a rock in the den so she could hear the conversation.
"Than spit it out." Jay star said in anticipation.
"A broken warrior will save our clan from an unknown threat" Twisted tail spoke with wisdom in his voice. Honey paw felt worried, an unknown threat this wont be good honey paw told herself. Jay star's fur pricked up and she looked uneasily.
"Jeez honey paw couldn't you clean you pelt before you come into my den?" Jay star spoke with an unrecognizable expression. Honey paw opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"You would of liked it if i was buried in mud and water." she mumbled bitterly.
'What was that Honey paw." Jay star mewed annoyed, honey paw knew she knew she had heard.
"Nothing that concerns you." Honey paw mewed. Twisted tail stepped a few paces back.
"Would you like me to claw the rest of you? Oh and by the way you should clean that wound it could get infected." Jay star mewed happily.
