CHAPITRE UN: halloween 

❮ HALLOWEEN ❯

Halloween night, the streets screaming excitement, children ringing doorbells with happy smiles, awaiting candy. everywhere you look was filled with anticipation, everyone out and about. all except for someone named park chanyeol.

chanyeol was with his friends, sehun and kai. two out of the three friends had a girlfriend wrapped around their perfect fingers, clinging to their men for the night. after all, they were the most popular boys in their high school, the kings of the social food chain.

"how sad, chanyeollie doesnt have a companion this nice, beautiful, halloween evening." sehun teases the lonesome boy, smiling at his girlfriend.

"shut up sehun, just you wait, at the end of the night, ill have a pretty little date following me wherever i please." chanyeol counters, folding his arms while rolling his dark brown eyes.

"hey pretty girls, can you come back later? we have some things to say to our chanyeol here." sehun says, doing a little hand gesture to his date, as well as kai's girl, who, was not even listening because she was too busy staring at kai; signaling for both of the girls to leave accordingly.

"hey! what was that for?" kai frowns upon seeing his date leave him because of sehun.

"'kay, now that they're out of the way, let's have ourselves a fun little bet." sehun grins, scheming his proposal in his head.

"what about?" chanyeol asks, confused about what was happening.

"about you." sehun replies, 

"what the hell? why? how? right now?" chanyeol retorts quite angrily at sehun quickly

"shut up and listen, boy." sehun bosses despite he was talking to basically, a giant.

"did you just call me 'boy'?!" chanyeol outrages at sehun

"ooooooh." kai interestedly peeps the two bickering,

"whatever, just listen to whatever i have to say?!" demands a hot-headed sehun.

unsurprisingly, he got two different replies.

 a "no." and a "yes." 

"good." sehun ignores chanyeol's unimportant 'no' and smirks, like an evil mastermind of some sort, while chanyeol rolls his eyes once more. "lets have a bet, if chanyeol scores a date for just tonight, i get twenty dollars."

"what the f-" chanyeol's eyes widen at the bet.

"what if he doesnt?" kai questions, obviously interested, at the same time cutting off the poor chanyeol

"then you can get twenty dollars." sehun shrugs uncaringly, only focusing about the money he'll most possibly be getting.

"what about me?" chanyeol speaks up, irritated about the other two, leaving him no say in the  conversation. chanyeol was irritated at their bet, irritated at sehun, irritated at kai, irritated at the whole night basically.

"then you get a date, simple as that." sehun absentmindedly replies, not even looking at him.

"what if i dont?" 

"then you get disappointment." sehun again shuts him up speedily.

after that, there was silence, chanyeol debating whether to accept of not; because well, after all, he was literally being treated like just a mere item to his two friends.

"ok fine, you know what? fine! game on, lets just get this over with." chanyeol gives, up fixing his hair to look cooler.

"great." sehun beams as kai sniggers away.

as if they were in the bustling in the wild, the three boys set out to find chanyeol's date, their target. 

and so far, all they got was rejection and some girls who wordlessly ignored their so called 'suave' flirting and moves.

the situation was embarrassing,

too embarrassing for chanyeol's liking.

"what even, why is nothing working?! why is this so difficult?" chanyeol groans, kicking a can on the street filled with children.

"maybe you're just ugly." kai snickers.

"if i'm ugly, i guess you're what, hideous?" chanyeol retaliated to the rather annoying guy next to him.

"you little-"

"hey-"

"i'm a little?" chanyeol grins as he annoys kai, trying to push him off the edge. 'i'm a little what, kai?"

"HEY!" sehun interjects, stopping the angry kai from further insulting chanyeol.

"what?!" 

"her? what about her?" sehun points to a girl chatting with probably her friends

"he'll probably fail." kai giggles to himself again.

"shut it you rat" chanyeol glares at kai, already preparing his appearance for his target.

"hmph."

with strides as large as his confidence, chanyeol walks over to the girl in the dark, wishing for the best. soon, he reaches his soon-to-be-completed goal as he takes a deep breath.

leaning on the wall to appear more charming, chanyeol runs his hands through his hair as he says

"hey babe, are you are a sharpie? 'cuz youre super fine"
