CHAPITRE QUATRE: The One That Got Away

HALLOWEEN

after all that shenanigans, chanyeol found that it was finally time to give the so-called jung hoesuck her deserved reward, a pleasant little meal of McDonalds.

so before going to the park that was the promised meet-up place, chanyeol of course went to the close-by neighbourhood McDonalds, but he was not expecting what would happen there.

as he opened the door, he walked forward and lined up, scheming his order. he made sure to pick up some fries and drinks, and 2 big macs, but as he looked forward, he was met with annoyance.

his ex.

i mean one of his exes, since he had a lot of them. but, it was his most recent one, so the argument was still fresh in his mind and memory. and it did not end well, at all. her name was saehee, and she was the most irritating person chanyeol has ever met. how, you ask? countless times she would pester chanyeol about how amazing they would be if they got married. MARRIED. she would be seen looking at those wedding dress shops, already browsing online for wedding rings on their first month together, and so on and so forth. it was weird. too weird. saehee would even try to persuade chanyeol on getting couple matching tattoos for the both of them. so in the end, chanyeol told her it was time to end it, before anything regrettable would happen.

frantically trying to look away and not meet her eyes, chanyeol tried to steer his focus away from her.

 was he gonna be okay?

all was going well, until saehee's friend's narrow, sharp eyes landed on chanyeol.

crap. this was not going to end well.

slowly, saehee turned around to meet chanyeol, with a mischievous smile creeping on her face. chanyeol expected her to scoff or be snobby to him, like most of his exes after the breakup, but it only got worse.

"channie! long time no see! i've missed you so much! have you been seeing anyone? i hope you havent! maybe we can start over, you know, where we left off? saehee tries-to-seductively-but-fails-miserably says to her former flame.

chaneyol was disappointed, but not surprised. she's still as annoying as ever, as if nothing has changed. she still thinks they were a thing.

"actually saehee, im seeing someone right now, so it would be better if we forget we ever saw each other."

"WHAT?! you're seeing another girl?" saehee exclaimed in hurt, clutching her chest extra dramatically. "what about me! what about our promised plans of the future?!"

"saehee, you should understand that there's no 'us' between you and me, ok?"

"oh come on chanyeol, are you worried you wont be a good husband? dont be nervous, youll be a great one, in my opinion! or are you worried about being a dad—" saehee whined, pouting, but that didnt faze chanyeol's mind, he knew all these overused and lame tricks of persuasion saehee uses.

"saehee, i have a girlfriend. a GIRLFRIEND. im not yours anymore, never was. now, if you excuse me, im going to order. please get out of my way."

"BUT CHANNIE! we can fix us! you can take me on dates and i can be the best girlfriend or soon-to-be-wi——" saehee complains, clinging to chanyeol's arm like a leech, swinging it annoyingly.

"—no, saehee, stop!" chanyeol snapped, having enough of this mess. he just wanted to get McDonalds, leave, and get to hoesuck already, so his tiresome night can finally be over.
