Jane's POV

"Hey! Little kid!" Someone called from behind me. I turned around and saw a boy with green

eyes and dimpled cheek. He has a cute hair and some baseball cap surrounding it.

"Me?" I pointed to myself although I knew he was talking to me. I was the only kid left outside the

orphanage besides him. He nodded and motioned me to come near him.

"I'm Harry." He held out his hand and I shook it, smiling widely. He smiled too but he laughed later on. I frowned at his actions and I realized that I lost my two front teeth. I gasped and covered my mouth, he still laughed and I started to walk away. They always laugh at me because I don't have my two front teeth.

When I was a bit far away from him, his laughing ended and I heard crunching of gravel coming near me. He was beside me and looked at me with sorry eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh, little kid." He smiled at me. I smiled back, only this time with no teeth.

"I'm Jane!" I exclaimed and grinned widely, I hesitantly held my hand out. I wasn't used to little boys like him to go and be friends with me, they just tease me and make me cry. I have no friend in this orphanage besides Mrs. Coleman, she was the head of the orphanage. But she said she doesn't own it. It was owned by some rich couple who loves to help people.

He gladly shook my hand and we walked to the swings. He was kicking some pebbles and I played with the toy in my hand. Who was this kid? Maybe he was a new orphan. But he was wearing some nice clothes. Maybe not.

We reached the swings and I ran up to one and sat on it. I kicked the ground in attempt to swing. I kicked and kicked until I was high in the air. Harry was staring at me, smiling. After a while, the swing came to a stop.

"Again!" I exclaimed which made Harry laugh. He went near me and picked my doll that fell from my grasp.

"You want me to push you?" He asked. I nodded my head and he started to push me in a slow speed. I swayed my feet and felt the fresh air that roamed.

"Harry, do you live here too?"

"No. Do you?"

"Yes. Isn't it obvious?" I giggled. He shook his head and chuckled. Silence engulfed us as he continued to push me in moderate speed. We spent maybe another hour getting to know each other until I saw a figure coming out the balcony where we were earlier. It was a woman and a kid holding her hands.

"Harry! Come on honey, we're going home!" The woman yelled. Harry stood up from the grass where we were playing and he dusted his bottom. I observed what he was doing until he held out a hand.

I stared at his hand then turn my gaze to him.

"Go on." He smiled and I took his hands. We walked side by side to the woman and she smiled at us by the time we reached her. The little girl beside her was playing with the buttons on her jumper.

"Hi, mum." Harry greeted her mother. He turned his attention to the baby and he kissed her little sister's forehead.

"How old is she Harry?" I asked. He held out three fingers and I nodded. "And you?" I added.
