-Day 6 of 100-
Jane's POV
Days are quite well. I have survived my first six days in this house with Harry creeping into my mind every minute.
We never talked about the other night nor have we mentioned it. I didn't bother asking Bella too. I like to find it out myself, but it seems harder than before.
Harry stays away from me now but he still is moody and aloof when it comes to me. I never understand him. He was worse than a girl having her time of the month. One second he was laughing, the next thing his underwear is in knots.
I managed to keep my mouth shut. But everytime we are on the same room I just couldn't help but ask. Of course, he'll shut me up.
Yesterday he brought some girl home. She was a petite girl with an wavy auburn hair. She's a real bitch. She purposely spilled some water on my shirt last night while we were on the kitchen. Harry saw everything but he chose not to react while Bella was ready to kill. She obviously hated the girl.
I could seriously hear everything from Harry's room last night. It was an awful thing to hear and I never ever want to repeat it. But thankfully, by the time I woke up this day, she was gone and breakfast was made.
"Kids, I'm off. Be nice." Said Bella who was fishing something in her purse.
"Okay, mum." Harry replied which earned a chuckle from me and a glare from Bella.
"Shut up Harry." She snapped and Harry mumbled something under his breath. "Aha!" Bella exclaimed while holding out a car key.
"That's my car key, Annabella." Harry smirked and Bella has a deep scowl on her face.
"Fuck you Harry." She rolled her eyes and smiled at me. "This is mine. It's a Mini Cooper's." She stated.
"Never knew you drive a Cooper." I whispered.
"It's because I left it here." Harry was mocking her by making faces and I can see Bella's face turning red.
"Uh. Okay." I smiled.
"Stop that Harry. You're already pissing me." She rolled her eyes and walks towards the door. I hear her mumbling something about Harry being an asshole.
"Bye Bells!" Harry and I said at the same time and he snorted. Bella walked out the door while waving her two fingers.
She was out and I was left with Harry. I was staring at him for a moment and turned my attention to the football game on the tv. I bit my lip and hugged my knees tighter.
No one spoke a word. Our breathing and the game were the only noise I can hear. I returned my gaze to Harry only to see he was looking at me - studying me. He quickly averts his gaze on the tv and rolled his eyes.
I decided to break the silence. "Harry." I breathe. He looks at me with no emotions.
"What?" He was impassive.
"The other night. When you were having some dre-"
"Stop it." He snapped. I inhaled and closed my eyes.
Ignoring his statement I continued, "I was wondering what was that about? Because you keep on mumbling things lik-"
"Don't you understand the word 'stop', Jane?" He looked at me in the eyes. Annoyance clear in his.
"I do." I mumbled.
"Then why can't you just do what I said?" His eyes were narrowed and jaw clenched.
"I was just curious." He snorted and managed to smile - an mocking smile at that. "Please, I just wanted to help you. You kept telling that they shouldn't leave you, that you love them." His face became serious and his eyes softened for a moment then back to its normal one.
"Sorry Harry, but that bothers me really. I can't stop thinking about it. I just don't know why." I sighed.
I just wanted to help him get through it and be friends with him. I can't even sleep at night because of the dream's reoccurrence.
Harry doesn't say a word for a while but when he does it surprised me, "Jane." He says my name so calm that it was scary. "Didn't mummy ever tell you not to meddle in other people's business?" He smirks smugly.
"I-was.. I- uh, um.." I stammered. He stood up and hovered over me, stared for a second then backs away.
He chuckled humorlessly, "Shit Jane. Why can't you just stay back on my personal life?!" He yelled.
"I was just trying to help." I sighed and lowered my head.
"Help?" He laughs. Yes, he laughed but it was laced with anger and was humorless. "Do I look like a charity case to you, Jane?! Tell me! Do I?! Huh?! No. I'm not. Keep your nosy ass out of my face. I don't need your help and just please stay the fuck out of my business before I meddle into yours."
His face went near mine. His eyes of green was darker than usual, his face was a bit red from his anger.
I squeezed my eyes shut, not expecting anything. "Believe me when I tell you that you're not gonna like it." He breathe onto my face. Faint smell of mint. It was hot. His breath I mean.
When I opened my eyes he was walking towards the staircase so I run noisily to him.
"Harry! Wait." I held his wrist. He stared at our wrists for a minute then yanked it away.
"What again?" He faced me.
Taking a deep breath, I say, "Can we at least be friends?"
Harry laughed at my statement. It was full of humor, he was amused.
"Just because you're my sister's bestfriend doesn't mean we are going to be. We will never be, Jane. Never." He turned his back at me and started to walk upstairs.
Whoa. That hurt.
