Everything was gone except for my hearing. For some reason even though I was passed out I was still able to hear what was going on.
"Mr. Koonis thank you so much for coming! We really need your help." I heard Jake say to my dad.
"What are you guys doing here! You shouldn't be in a place like this. And," he started and paused. I guess he was looking at me. "why is she nude."
"Oh," Jake said realizing how bad the situation looked. "she had to save us from some crazy wolf guy so she went wolf and kicked his butt." I felt Jake nod towards the dead wolf laying on the ground behind my father.
"Alright well we need to get her to safety. And you too." I heard footsteps and then Jake started walking I guess following my dad.
I was so exhausted and tired that I let myself fall into the deep sleep that my body wanted so badly. Jake's strong arms cradled me making me feel as safe as I possible could. Then, I was out.
FOUR DAYS LATER
My hearing returned first. Then touch, then smell, but I still could not open my eyes.
"Mornin' Jake. You want eggs? I've also got some bacon."
"That sounds great sir." I heard footsteps coming closer to me and the stove started with something delicious on it.
"Hey baby girl," I felt Jake's breath on my face as he spoke and then felt his lips on my cheek as he kissed me tenderly. "good morning." He then sat down onto the couch with me and he started to caress my cheek and moved the hair away from my face.
I love you. Always and forever. He told me through our connection. This act made my body shake and get goosebumps as I finally opened my eyes for the first time.
"Oh my gosh. Good morning sleeping beauty." Jake said laughing.
"She's awake?" I heard my dad question from the other room.
"Yes she is. Alive and well." he laughed agian and touched my hand.
I grabbed it willingly smiling and giggling a little.
"How do you feel?" he asked quietly.
I'm okay. Talking just seems like too much right now. I said pushing all of my love to him.
That's fine with me. He smiled and went to get up as my dad called him over.
Wait. I begged holding onto his hand. Kiss me.
He turned, looked at me, and sat on the couch once again. He cupped my cheek and leaned down. He first kissed my nose, coming back up to look me in the eyes. Then, leaning down again, his lips met mine. This kiss was so amazing that if I hadn't been laying down, I would have just fallen to my knees.
He came back up and kissed me again. As he did this he said those three words once again.
I love you. Then he came back from the kiss, stood up, and walked away without meeting my eyes agian.
I started to get up and I noticed a sharp pain in my shoulder.
"Stay on the couch." my dad stated sternly.
Ok. I responded to Jake eventhough he didn't say it. Talking just felt like too much right now.
What do you want for breakfast? Jake asked.
Eggs and tons of bacon. I laughed as I heard him chuckle too.
"What are you laughing at?" my dad asked Jake.
