Part 3

In this world, people have some sort of power, we call 'ability' . It include two parameters: the potential, which is given by blood transmission from parent to children, and the mastery, which depend on many factors such as strenght, ingenuity, etc... But, the potential of the ability is limited and can't be changed. Therefore, the level of ability is different for everyone; those who have a bad mastery of their power are weaker than those who improved their skills. Plus, one can have a good mastery but a poor potential and thus, being stuck in a not so high ability level.

In order to make it clear for everyone, the society's hierarchie is based on a scale from 1 to 10. 1 being the weakest rank, the Low-tier, that means the person do not have any ability or a really weak one. The Mid-tier include those with a level 2 to 3.4. Then we have the Elite-tier, from 3.5 to 4.9. And the last section is the High-tier, for the 5 and further levels, but there is a special group called the God-tier which is for the High-tier with a level superior to 6.

High-tier are less common than Low and Mid-tiers and are more respected than them, as they are superior. Which means they can kick someone ass pretty easily if needed.

Geez! Why am I thinking about that at the first place?  I am supposed to be in a hurry! John being the stupiest twin of us decided to present himself as a Cripple, which means that he won't fight back with his ability when being bullied. If only they knew him better, they'd stop bothering him right away... And I won't be running like a fool on the corridors for my very first day at this school!

"Argh"

Taking a harsh left turn, Katarina followed the sound of her brother. She then arrived at a corner, only to see John falling on the floor with his nose bleeding. A green haired guy was standing in front of him, a smirk plastered on his face.

Huffing from her run, Katarina came nose to nose with the dude, making sure that her twin was behind her back. "Wh- Who do you bloody think you are exactly?!"

"Oh my, what with the glare, I almost peed on myself."

"Well, that would explain the stink coming from you! What makes you think you can hit my brother like that?"

"Isn't that cute? A cripple defending another cripple. And her brother at that! Your family blood must be really poor for both of you to be born as weakling. What a shame."

"Never assume thing about my family ever again, you piece of trash." She said whilst remaining deadly calm.

Hearing the skinny girl's insult and snickers from others students, who were attracted by the sound of them arguing, 'Green hair' lost it and threw a punch to Katarina's face.

"Take what you deserve you b*tch!"

Waiting for the last second, the girl dodged it by a swift movement. Then her green eyes began to glow and, as cat tail and hears appeared, she took the guy's arm, kicked him in the guts. That unexpected move made him fold on himself exposing his neck, which Katarina gladly hit with her left elbow causing the guy to fall unconscious on the ground.

As silence filled the corridor and realising that every students where watching with wide eyes Katarina began to smile. She lifted up her twin and carefully drove him to the infirmary.

She didn't see the three students who were watching from afar, the same look of relief ont their face.

"Well Remi, turns out that our new friend didn't need our help at all. I should have known she wasn't a Cripple since what she said to me earlier."

"I am glad she is okay, but did you see her brother, he is hurt pretty badly. We should go see him later on." The little girl said while watching the twins. Then, a loud laugh coming from Blyke made every student who were still silently staring at Katarina, to come back to their senses and leave the place chatting to themselves.

"Bwahahaha, did you see how fast she went on attack mode? That was way too cool, turns out that our newbie is a badass! No kidding, did you even see her transformation: she got a freaking black tail and freaking black cat ears! Kat the cat, it's too funny I can't help it!" Blyke was literally rolling on the ground with tears of laughter.

Meanwhile, Isen was lost in thoughts. Animal features..could it be that she is able to shift? I've never heard of something similar, is it even possible? Then that would mean, she is very powerful.. A High-tier, even a God-tier maybe.. But how comes John is as weak as a newborn? Could it be...

Could it be a lie?

Did he lie to us all?

HEY! It's me again!

Just to inform those who are lost, this scene takes place when Seraphina (John's best friend, I'll introduce her later don't worry) was sent home.

I know I changed the plot, but eh it's a fanfiction, everything is possible.

For those who don't like the "cat thing", well I am deeply sorry, I just thought it would be cool and I needed something special and different than the others students. Soo bear with me ;)
