❦ Beck made his way out back towards the pool. The music seemed to be a lot louder out there yet it was less full. Beck stopped in his tracks, scanning the yard in search of Jade. He didn't know why he was still chasing after her, after all she had told him to 'get out of her way'. Clearly he couldn't take a hint and he knew that but something told him to keep chasing after her, get to know her. Maybe she wasn't as tough as she looked. ❦
There she stood, next to the trees drinking. Her leather jacket fitted her perfectly and her jewellery pieces complimented her skin tone. Even though she was alone she didn't seem lonely, she seemed more comfortable by herself. That wasn't to say she was some sad kid who shut themselves out from everyone, well that was Jade minus the sad part. Beck walked over to her slowly, taking her drink. "Okay, clearly you aren't interested in talking but I am," he began but Jade cut him off. "First of all, who said I wasn't interested and second of all, get me a drink and we'll talk," she said handing him an empty red cup. The two walked for a minute or so, retreating back to the drink which wasn't so full of drinks anymore.
Beck grabbed an almost empty bottle of vodka and poured it into her cup and picked up a lemonade after but Jade pulled the cup from his hands. "Raw vodka's fine," she said and began walking away. "Wow, wow, wow, I was told I'd be able to talk to you if I get you drink," he raised an eyebrow. Jade sighed and turned around. "What do you want to know?," she raised an eyebrow. "What's your favourite song?," he asked curiously. Jade furrowed her eyebrows but replied. "Avril Lavigne complicated, i used to listen to it all the time non stop," she replied. "Favourite colour?," he asked. "Black or purple," she replied. "Favourite type of coffee?," he asked, noticing her obsession with coffee earlier that day. "Okay...caramel macchiato," she replied. Beck smiled softly, Jade returning the smile. Soon after, Beck's siblings grabbed hold of him, informing him they had to go. "See you, Beck," Jade smirked softly and wandered off. Beck smiled softly and went home.
