Chapter 7 - Ashley's P.O.V

I text my group chat with Courtney and Lavender in it.
"Hey girls, want to come to my place today?"
Lavender is typing
"Yeah sure. I'm free all day."
One down, one to go.
I only have to wait a little while before
"Yeah I can come"
I start planning how it will go down in my head. I imagine Courtney congratulating me and giving me a massive hug and Lavender running around the room like a crazy person. I'm honestly probably not that far off of what is actually going to happen.

I hear a knock on the door, along with not one, but two voices.
They must have come together or something.
I invite them in like any other time they've been to my house. We say hi to my mum and then go into my room. We sit on my bed and catch up with each other (because so much has happened since yesterday afternoon). When they both run out of things to say, I just blurt out
"I'm dating James Newton......."
There was a split second of silence before Courtney says
"OMG! Congrats!"
And gives me a big hug. It doesn't take Lavender long to start running around the room like a crazy person.
Exactly as I imagined it. They're so predictable.

As I wave them goodbye, I keep thinking
Well that was an...... Experience.......
And for the first time, I can't wait until Monday.
