"Am I dreaming or is that you, Harrington?" Billy smirked, leaning against his car.
"Yeah, it's me, don't cream your pants," Steve said, his hands on his hips.
Billy chuckled and held his cigarette in his mouth while pulling off his leather jacket. He threw it inside the car before stepping closer, Steve doing the same.
"What are you doing here, Amigo?" Billy asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Steve replied. "Amigo."
"I'm looking for my little step-sister," Billy said. "A little birdie told me she was here."
"That's weird, I don't know her," Steve gave a shrug.
"Small? Redhead? Bit of a bitch?" Billy described.
"Doesn't ring a bell. Sorry, Buddy," Steve shook his head gently.
"You know," Billy said pulling his cigarette out of his mouth. "I don't know. This..." he clicked his tongue. "This whole situation, Harrington, I don't know... it's giving me the heebie geebies."
"Oh, yeah? Why's that?"
"My thirteen-year-old sister goes missing all day," Billy explains. "Then I find her with you at some stranger's house. And you lie to me about it?"
Steve chuckled picking up what he was implying, "Man, were you dropped too much as a child, or what?"
Billy let out a puff of smoke through his smile, raking his tongue over his lips.
"I don't know what you don't understand about what I just said," Steve said, staring Billy down. "She's not here."
"Then who is that?" Billy smirked, pointing to the window with his cigarette.
Steve turned to see Lucas, Mike, Max, and Dustin staring through the window. Mia pulled them down, but not in time for Billy to be oblivious to their presence. Steve turned back to Billy.
"Oh shit, listen—"
Billy threw Steve to the ground. He let out a groan, lying on the concrete. Billy stared over him with a grueling smile. He picked up his right foot and slammed it into Steve's groin before busting inside the house.
Mia winced at the sight of Steve outside. She tried to gather the kids all together towards the kitchen. It did little to help once Billy entered.
"Well, well, Lucas Sinclair," Billy grinned. "And Mia, King Steve's little wanna-be princess. What a surprise."
Billy walked forward toward Max and Lucas, pushing Dustin, Mike, and Mia to the side. "I told you to stay away from him, Max."
"Go away, Billy."
"You disobeyed me," Billy growled. "And you know what happens when you disobey me."
"Billy—"
He slammed himself into Lucas, grabbing the boy by his collar. He dragged him into the kitchen and pushed him against the wall, barely letting his feet touch the ground. Plates and picture frames fell from the wall, slamming into Lucas's head. Mia and the kids screamed at Billy to stop, not sure what else they could do without all getting hurt.
"If Maxine won't listen to me, maybe you will," Billy told Lucas. "Stay away from her. Stay away from her! You hear me?"
Lucas was silent for a millisecond before crying out, "Get off me!" He slammed his knee into Billy's crotch.
The mullet wearing bully fell back. He stumbled around a bit groaning. He struggled to gain back his balance before going after Lucas once again.
"You are so dead, Sinclair! Dead!" Billy yelled at the boy.
Suddenly, Steve pulled Billy around to face him. "No," he said. "You are."
Steve threw his fist, square in Billy's jaw. He stumbled backwards, crashing into the table. Dustin and Mia held back cheers, but let their smiles break through. Mike and Max stood in shock as they all pulled Lucas into a hug, just before Billy regained his composure, laughing.
"Looks like you've got some fire in you after all!" Billy laughed. Steve ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it out his eyes.
"I've been waiting to meet this 'King Steve' everyone has been telling me so much about!" Billy said, blood dripping down his nose.
Steve looked Billy in the eye and used two of his fingers to push his chest away, "Get out."
Billy looked surprised for a moment, but ultimately took another swing. Steve dodged his fist and threw his own right back into Billy's face.
"Yes!" Dustin screamed. "Kick his ass, Steve!"
"Get him!" Mike spat from the top of his lungs.
Steve threw another punch, pushing him into the sink.
"Murder that son of a bitch!" Mia screamed.
"Now! Now!" Dustin agreed.
"Get that shithead!" Mike bellowed.
Steve inched closer, preparing to punch Billy again. Before he could, Billy grabbed a plate from the counter and smashed it over Steve's Head. He doubled back against the table, clutching his head.
"Shit!" Dustin said.
"Holy shit," Mia mumbled, wanting it all to stop right there.
Billy threw Steve against a book shelf. He pushed him past the kids and Mia, into the living room. Steve tried to stand up, only to have Billy grabbed him by his collar. Heavy breathing echoed through the room for a moment.
"No one tells me what to do," Billy growled in Steve's face.
Billy pushed Steve away, sending him flying towards the ground and slamming into the couch. Steve groaned, trying to push himself to his feet. Billy walked forward.
"Stop!" Dustin screamed.
"You're going to kill him, Billy!" Mia pleaded.
"Come on, Steve!" Mike encouraged.
Billy sat on top of Steve. One after other, his fists met with Steve's face. Helpless and barely conscious, blood spewed from Steve's mouth and nose. His forehead dripped red. Everyone around him screamed for it to stop, but nothing did. Making a slit second decision, Mia grabbed the medicine they had used to not Will out. She ran toward Billy and stabbed the syringe into his neck. He let out a groan, falling off of Steve.
"You little bitch," Billy spat, his vision going blurry as he pulled the needle from his neck. "What did you do?"
Mia tried to catch her breath, unsure, even herself, of what had just happened. She moved toward Steve. Billy laid on the ground laughing as Max suddenly felt a fit of rage surge through her. She grabbed Steve's bat and held it over Billy.
"From now on, you leave me and friends alone, do you understand?" She asked her step-brother. He continued to laugh. Max threw the bat down between his legs, barely missing his groin. "Do you understand?!"
"Screw you."
"Say you understand!" Max screamed so loud her lungs burned. "Say it! Say it!"
"I understand," Billy mumbled.
"What?"
"I understand!" He said a bit louder before falling completely unconscious.
Mia took a deep breath. She stood up, glancing down at a very bloody Steve. She made another quick decision and pulled the keys out of Billy's pocket.
"Grab the first aid kit," she told Dustin. "We're getting out of here."
