[A/N This isn't actually a continuation of the previous chapter but just a supplementary one, like that of a special chapter. This part happened before all the boys actually met Su Han Byul. Go ahead and read .]
LOST STARS
"We are wandering with a broken compass, but not really wandering; we're lost. Lost in a place we know nothing about. And we can't find our way back."
These were Eunwoo's thoughts as he leaned his back on the basement's cold wall. Both of his hands are on his head grabbing his hair rather harshly.
"How can I let those creatures get my brother that easy? How can I, his own brother let that happen? The future Ruler of Astroia let that happen to his own brother. I can never be a great king, I'm useless."
Eunwoo has been blaming himself since their crash on the foreign planet. He wasn't the one who ignited the idea but he was the one who fuelled it, the Prince of Astroia made such a risky decision.
"As the Prince of Astroia, I order you to bring us with you Commander Jinjin," his own words echoed inside his head which made him more disturbed of the fact that he is the one to blame first and foremost.
Pulling himself up from the floor and securing he won't make any sudden noise to wake the others who are soundly sleeping, but maybe not the Commander, he walked towards the door of the basement.
He breathes out uneasily while reaching the door knob with slightly trembling hands twisting it carefully. Then he stepped out of the basement.
A ray of light entered the dark room that hit Moonbin's eyes making him squint and finally woke himself up in slight panic. Just then, Eunwoo closed the door behind him.
Moonbin looked around him, the moon light made it enough for him what's around. He noticed that only four of them were left inside the basement, Eunwoo was nowhere to be found.
Curious, he stood up too and followed Eunwoo. He is sure that Eunwoo went out of the room despite of Jinjin's command not to go out unless they all decided to go.
When Eunwoo was finally out of the basement, he thought for a second if he is doing the right thing or he's again endangering the rest of them.
An indecisive soon to be prince, he smirked to himself and walked towards a door where he felt that his younger brother is in.
The door was slightly open, so Eunwoo pushed it a little more to enter.
Stepping cautiously, he pass by a wall-mounted mirror. Eunwoo stepped back a little shocked when he saw his own reflection. He then wondered how another creature could be inside a solid crystal wall.
Now without a glint of fear, he went closer to the mirror and observed the creature that's copying him closely.
"It's me," he whispered as he realized that it wasn't another creature but his own reflection. And it wasn't copying him, it's merely reflecting every of his movements.
Eunwoo spun around as he composed himself with his purpose why he is inside that room: to save his younger brother from these unidentified creatures.
Looking around, he finally found his younger brother. Sleeping safe and sound on the bed with what he called 'an unidentified creature'. Sanha's hands were clung around the creature's arm.
"What has got into my baby brother to be like this? Don't he feel that a threat is just around him? That creature might kill him or eat him anytime!" Eunwoo mouthed, shaking his head in huge disappointment.
He went closer and leaned over to the bed, attempting to get Sanha. But the creature moved a bit and crossed it's arms locking the baby, making it impossible for Eunwoo to get his younger brother.
Sighing dejectedly, Eunwoo only landed his eyes on the creature beside Sanha, observed it and remembered his reflection on the mirror a while ago.
"We have the same features only that she's an opposite". (Opposite is a term used by Astroians to call a female.)
Byul again moved, some of her loose hair covered her face and mumbled something.
"A—a—s—tro, astro..,"
"What are you talking about?" Eunwoo asked as if talking to the sleeping Byul. Then he unknowingly tucked Byul's loose hair at the back of her ears. "She's pretty."
"Wha—what did I just said?" Eunwoo said startled with his own actions and words. He then straightened his back from leaning over.
Eunwoo felt another presence around the corner and when he turned his back, Moonbin was behind the door. He was a little frightened at Moonbin's sight thinking Jinjin and the others are also awake. And he might get scolded by the commander.
I can't make another mistake right now. I can't let the others be in danger again. I can't let that happen. I am their future ruler. He was clouded with these strong thoughts as he walked back as if on retreat towards Moonbin.
"What were you doing?" Moonbin asked pulling Eunwoo out of the room.
"Are the others awake too?" Eunwoo asked though he already know that they aren't since Moonbin is alone but he still expect Moonbin to prove him right.
"No," Moonbin's immediate answer. "What were you really doing there? Are you out of your proper thinking?"
"I was just trying to save Sanha. I can't just let them have him," Eunwoo answered.
"But you didn't right? Please don't do things just like that without consulting the others. We might get into bigger trouble," Moonbin exasperatedly said.
"I know, I'm sorry," the Prince replied then the both of them went back to the basement.
