Chapter one: different

I bet you're expecting a nice and cute little welcome to this book, well you're not

Getting it. When my life gets better you'll get your nice and cute little welcome. Well, if

I've been to abrasive I'll give you a decent welcome. I'm Lynn Luna from a teeny tiny

town of Altos. Correction, i USED to be from Altos. When both my parents died I was

auctioned off to a rich family from the thriving city of Talion. A huge shock from the one

neighborhood Altos. And I bet you're wondering "what YEAR is this?" It's 2235. So back

to my story, I barely knew the family's names before they stuck me on The Tramp. The

Tramp is where I jump and generate electricity. When I first started, they usually paid

me for my work and every other Sunday I would accompany the family to the market. I

would have enough food to last me until Friday and go hungry on Saturday since the

family didn't feed me. My life was pretty nice until Plutonium ( A.K.A Pluto ) became a

jumper like me. He joined The Tramp early February even though he came in August.

He wasn't very nice and was always rambling about how he was in the P.P.S ( President

Protective Services ) after Pluto came it was TWO YEARS before I was paid again and

FOUR YEARS before I was at the market again. Pluto was 13, so he was a year older

Then me and for his first 5 months as a jumper he slept in a "fancy guest suite" and was

pampered by the family. He told me their names, but the only one I could remember

was the 14-year-old, Kristina , because whenever it took me a long time to fill a E.O

( Electricity Order ) she trudged through the thicket and the woods to whip me with an

electrical wire. But the family finally showed Plutonium some neglect around February

and sent him out to be a jumper. Unexpectedly, Pluto knew what he was doing. He

knew that bigger jumps gave out bigger energy, and NOT to spend my one day affair at

the market smelling the bread that I can't afford. So I didn't, instead I bought a bow. I

kept it secret from the family and I stole Kristina's stick knife on more then one

occasion to make arrows. In no time, me and Pluto were living the highest life you could

get being a jumper. No one knew for a long time
