it was the last day of winter break and i was probably going to spend it being grounded, great. most of the time, after i get in trouble, i spend the day in my room by myself with no phone and no computer. it's nine in the morning and my mom hasn't said anything about being grounded so i decided i'll head over to caitlin's house; her parents both work and she is an only child so she probably doesn't have a punishment.
"mom, i'm headed out!" i yelled down the hall to my mom.
"wait a minute young lady," she said walking at a fast pace towards me.
"i'm going to be late." i groaned as she caught up to me.
"annie, it's time for you to get a job."
"excuse me!" i screamed so loud texas could probably hear me.
"i'm sending you to new york for your second semester of junior year. you will be babysitting for a little girl in manhattan."
"you're kidding me?" i yelled.
"no, annie i'm not. you are leaving next week."
"so, for being an irresponsible teenager, you are punishing me by making me in charge of a little girl."
"annie she is hayley's age they just need you to take her places and make her food." my mom rolled her eyes at me.
"whatever i'm not going to new york."
"julianna grace, they are coming tomorrow and you will be nice or i'm sending you to boarding school." she said as i groaned.
