Nagising ako sa isang katok mula sa pinto. "Angel, gising na ngayon ang launching ng Angel of Seduction!" narinig kong sigaw ni Undang, may executive assistant/PA. "I'm up! 'wag ka ngang sumigaw pwede? Ang panget ng boses mo!" saka na ako tumayo.
I checked the clock and it's only 8AM. Damn. Panira talaga ng beauty rest si Undang. Palibhasa hindi tumatalab sa kanya ang beauty rest dahil panget na siya FOREVER. I swear, kapag may nakita akong wrinkles mamaya sa launching ipapatuka ko sa manok ang mga tigyawat niya. Imbyerna!
Rude ba? Oo pero sanay sa sa akin si Undang. We've been together for like 11 years now. We were childhood best friends. Unfortunately, Undang is my best friend. THE ONLY TRUE friend I have. Well, in my case, I have a lot of friends but they were like parasites na peste sa buhay. They love me because of my money. They're nice because I am popular. In short, ginagamit lang nila ako ang I'm aware of it from the beginning. Sorry to say, mas mautak ako sa kanila. Ako ang manggagamit sa kanila.
1PM ang launching ng Angel of Seduction. Nice name, right? It suits me. I’m so seductive. Angel of Seductionis a fine dining restaurant and it's already the 3rd branch. I started my business two years ago with my ex-Boyfriend. Actually, regalo niya sa akin ang restaurant and nung stable na 'yung resto, I broke up with him. Yes, I used him para sa pansarili kong kapakanan. Ugh, enough of my foolish EX. May boyfriend na ako ngayon and he's Vincent, one of the most sought-after actors in the country. And speaking of Vincent, he'll be at the launching later to support me and for promotion na rin, sikat eh. Para-paraan lang yan.
After I showered, dumating na 'yung stylist ko and my make-up artist. Of course, I should be the most beautiful in my own event. Hindi ko sinasabing I only look maganda with my make-up on, labanan lang talaga ng make up later. Sabihin pa nila wala akong money.
While the gay make up artist is beautifying me, I look into the mirror. "Bakla, maganda ba ako?" taning ko, agad naman siyang sumagot, "Oo naman miss Angel! Mas maganda pa kayo sa mga sikat na artistang babae eh. Bakit hindi kayo mag-artista?" as I expected, tinanong niya din. "Well, hindi na lang kase masyado na silang madameng artista. Besides, ayaw ni Vincent na mag showbiz ako. No need na daw dahil siya na ang bahala sa'kin." Nakita ko ang inggit sa mga mata ng baklita.
"Ang swerte niyo naman Miss Angel, ang gwapo at ang hot ni Vincent!" sabi ng bakla na kinikilig pa. "I know right? Swerte din naman siya sa'kin eh. Maganda ako at successful pa." I admit, I love compliments. They're like my vitamins.
After magpa make up at maayusan I just ate and we're off to the launch. Designer brands lahat ng suot ko, fit for a queen like me. Syempre ang ginamit kong car is my Maseratti. Bihira ko lang siya gamitin 'coz it's so expensive. This car is equivalent to one of my restaurants. Undang was sitting next to me. She was dressed. Dapat lang noh baka kasi sabihin ng mga tao I'm bringing a palaboy eh haha just kidding!
"Angel, eto na 'yung listahan nung mga guests mamaya." She handed me a piece of paper. Some of my guests are politicians, celebrities, socialites, media men, mawawala ba naman ang aking mga fake friends from the upper class. I also invited some food bloggers and enthusiasts.
"Makakarating ba lahat ng mga 'to?" I asked. She nodded.
"How about the food? The arrangements? 'Yung pari?"
"All set na Angel."
"Good then."
After ng ribbon cutting and blessing of the resto kumain na lahat ng mga guests. Of course as the owner I have to entertain them. I went first to the politicians.
"Hi Mayor! Hello Governor! Are you enjoying the food?"
"Yes Angel, the foods are amazing." The Mayor says while his mouth is full. Halata ngang enjoy ka eh, punung-puno yung plato. Hindi pang buffet 'tong resto ko!
"Oo nga Angel, congratulations! I'll tell my friends to visit here." said Mr. Governor. Nanligaw 'to sa'kin dati kahit may asawa na siya. Papatulan ko sana kaso masyado ng matanda, amoy lupa na siya. Eeew.
"Thank you po. Enjoy your meal" I just smiled then umalis na din ako.
I saw may fake friends chatting. "Hey girls, how are 'ya?" Nagbeso kaming lahat. At ineexpose ko talaga 'yung diamond ring ko. "Oh my, is that a diamond ring Angel? Did Vincent propose to you already?" said Stella na halatang naiinggit sa'kin. She's so mayaman 'yun nga lang kalahati sa katawan niya retokada. Minsan nga nagdududa ako kung babae ba 'to o bakla eh.
"Oh this?" Nilapit ko sa pagmumukha nila ang diamond ring ko para makita nilang mabuti. "Vincent gave me this as his monthsary gift for me. Isn't he sweet?" Mamatay kayo sa inggit. Hahaha.
I saw a doubt on Tracy's face. "Is there a problem Tracy?" I asked. So feeling niya peke 'tong ring ko? "Hm. If it's a diamond ring, what is it round-shaped? It's supposed to be diamond-shaped, right?" After hearing that, we laughed in chorus. She's so tanga talaga.
"Pwede ba Tracy, hindi ka na nga maganda tanga ka pa? I still can't believe we let you be one of us." pagtataray ni Macy. She claims that she is the leader of our 'It' group. In her dreams. Pweh! Ako ang pinakamaganda sa grupo. Makaalis na nga baka mahawaan pa ako ng pagka cheap nila.
"I'll go ahead girls, I think Vincent's there. Ciao!" then I went to the VIP area. I saw Undang eating with her mouth full. PG much talaga 'to.
"Undang nandito ka lang pala! Kanina pa kita hinahanap lumalamon ka lang pala." I sat next to her. Nilunok niya muna lahat ng nasa bibig niya bago sumagot.
"Eh sa gutom ako e. Kahapon pa kaya ako walang pahinga dahil sa event na 'to."
"Whatever. Si Vincent wala pa ba? Hinahanap siya ng press people. He has to be here to promote Angel of Seduction." I'm kind of annoyed na. Argh.
"Ako ba girlfriend? Ayos ka ah. Try mo kayang tawagan."
"Undang ha! Hindi ibig sabihin na best friend kita e babastusin mo na ako. Tandaan mo boss mo pa din ako at pinapatira lang kita sa mansion ko!"
"Eto na nga oh tatawagin na eh."
"While she was calling Vincent, I rested myself for a while. I just realized since naging busy ako wala akong ME time as in bakasyon na ako lang. Mostly kase lagi ko kasama si Vincent mag around the world. Nakakasawa. I want something new. Well, I'll think of it kapag hindi na masyadong busy.
"Angel, malapit na daw si Vincent."
"Good, ikaw na sumundo sa kanya sa labas at dumiretso kayo dito."
"OK." then she went out.
Hindi nagtagal dumating narin si Vincent. As usual, he was dashing. I introduced him to others guests at inirampa ko siya sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko para marealize nila kung gaano ako kaswerte at maisaksak nila sa kokote nilang walang laman na mas maganda ako sa kanila.
Hindi na nagtagal at tinapos na rin namin ang event. It was successful and I'm sure trending mamaya ang #VinGel
Si Vincent ang naghatid sa'kin pauwi with his porsche. Nung makarating kami pinagbuksan niya agad ko ng pinto. He was a real gentleman. "Vincent, thank you ha kahit super busy ka you still find time to come."
He smiled. "Anything for you Angel. You know naman how much I love you." I flush in red. I didn't know what to say. Never ko pa kasi siya nasabihan ng I love you. So as a thank you, I moved closer to him and ended the night with a kiss ..
