Tori's P.O.V.

     Once I had returned to the group with Steve close on my tail, it seemed as though things had died down a bit from when I left. The Peter's were no longer at Drax' throat and everyone was now mingling peacefully.

     I went and stood off to the side so I could get a good view of the room. Each person had found a partner to talk with that had similar interests, the only person who was alone was me.

     "You know you should really try talking to people for once." I heard a soft voice mutter from behind me. I turned to find Steve standing right behind me but my eye caught a glimpse of Sera glaring at us through the window.

     A smirk found my lips as I returned his gaze. "I don't talk to people Rogers. I observe, besides what's the point?" I replied, crossing my arms over my chest as he walked closer to stand next to me.

     "The point. The point is to meet people, make friends. Not everything is a mission you know." He said, looking at me with a smile for some sort of answer.

     I let out a huff of air. "Well I'm talking to you." I said with a smirk, swaying side to side a bit. He chuckled slightly. "That's not quite what I meant but I'll take what I can get." I smirked at him and he returned it.

      I returned to studying the candle lit room before I heard a small gasp from Steve. "You have some lobster sauce on your cheek!" I whispered with a small smirk.

     "Oh!" I breathed, lifting my hand to my cheek to try and cover it up. He laughed lightly. "Here! Let me get it for you." He offered, extending his hand to get the spot.

Crash!

     Our heads whipped around to see Sera laying on her back on the floor. I rushed to her side to see if she was severely hurt.

     Other then the visual terrorism the coat she had on was giving she appeared to be fine.

     "Grandma? Is that you!" She rasped out from the floor. I sighed, maybe not.

     "No Sera, it's just Tori. You're still alive." I stated plainly.

     "Good!!! I'm not ready to die yet!" She breathed in relief, a small smile playing at her lips.

     I rolled my eyes then I grabbed hold of her wrist. "Come on!!" I breathed, pulling her off the floor and upright.

     Once she was on her feet and had a moment to catch her breath I spoke up. "What's our next play detective?" I asked, playing along with her little fantasy.

     To my surprise she face palmed me and started walking away. "Excuse me I have business to attend to!" She huffed, walking out of the room.

     I stood there in shock for a moment before I shook it off. She probably just now realized who stole the food.

Boy would I like to be a fly on the wall for that interaction.

     I turned around and faced Steve. "Do I still have lobster sauce on my face?"

~~~~~Approximately 15 minutes later~~~~~
     "Peter!!" I yelled, marching over to the boy sleeping in the plant in the corner of the room. He raised his head up to look at me with tired eyes.
     "What the heck are you doing in a plant??!" I asked, eyes wide with annoyance and confusion. He rubbed his eyes with his hand. "It wasn't my fault!" He answered, voice groggy and tired.
     Before I could reply a loud energy shook the whole building.
BOOOOM
     Peter's eyes widened as he was shaken from the tree and came crashing down to the floor.
     I struggled to keep my balance and reached for something to grab.
     Then something wrapped around my shoulders and I turned to see it was Steve.
     Once the shaking stopped there was a blinding light coming from the outside.
     "Humans, aliens, mutants, and inhabitants of this planet." His voice was dark, thick, and booming.
     I walked closer to the window and saw a large silhouette standing in front of a blinding portal.
     "You may know who I am, you may not. Do not fret, all will be reviled in due time. All I ask is that you bring me my mind stone and in return, I shall spare your puny lives. If you try and deceive me, or fail to complete this task, I will show no mercy."
     "That will be all." Then he disappeared just as fast he came.
      I looked to Steve who was protectively standing beside me, arm still draped over my shoulder.
     His blonde hair was a little messed up and his jaw was tightly clenched. I turned my head to see if the team was still in one piece. Peter was still on the floor but other then that everyone was fine.
     "Banner, Stark, get to a computer and track the amount of energy that we just saw. I want to know what it is and where it came from so we can shut it down." Just then Sera and Loki came rushing in through the door.
     "The rest of you, go to the kitchen, get some food, and get changed if you need to. We'll all meet up back here when we're done and discuss our options." I finished, trying to imitate Steve's Captain voice.
     Just as I was about to leave Steve turned me around to face him. "Did you just use my Captain voice?" He raised an eyebrow as he spoke. I looked into his blue eyes and smirked.
     "Last I heard you are Nomad so that means the 'Captain voice' is up for grabs." I said slyly, patting his shoulders before walking out the door.
