Tori's P.O.V.

The moment we walked in my eyes were filled with the beautiful golden lights and decorations. All of the walls had golden patterns painted on the and there were two massive stair cases leading up to the second level. I cushioned the curls falling down my back from the bun and adjusted my tight scarlet spaghetti strap dress to appear more presentable.

I glance over at Sera, he brown hair was waved and clipped back with a diamond flower. She was wearing a two piece dress, a navy blue crop top and matching flower skirt. I quickly raised my eyebrows to signal that we should split up. She picked up her sparkling blue fan and waltzed away.

I slowly snaked my way through the crowd trying to take in my surroundings. The venue was positively stunning. And the guests were adorned in the finest of fabrics and jewelry. Although only and handful of the guests weren't Wakandan so that made me and Sera stand out among the crowd.

Never the less, the mission is easy and simple. Get in get out with a few tag alongs. I was to distract the King while Sera would snoop around try to find Captain Rogers and Barnes. Once she found something or I got information we would communicate through our matching diamond hair clips.

After a few minutes of small talk and sipping some champagne, I spotted the king. I causally adjusted my hair clip. "I has eyes on the target, now engaging." I said through my smile before I let go of it. We were all trained to be ventriloquists in case of situations like this so that we could be less suspicious.

"Copy, I'm making my way into the stairs right now." Sera responded. I quickly forced a smile on my lips as I came up to  the king. "Mind if I cut in?" I fluttered, being this nice and sweet was not in my nature but it was necessary. The tall dark king and the woman he was dancing with turned to face me. "Of course not." He smiled warmly and ushered her to leave, as he whispered something into her ear. She left with a eye roll and walked with a hip in her step on the way out.

I just smiled warmly as the king took on of my hands and rested his other on my rest. "Some party!" I mused as we started to sway. "Yes, I am not one for parties though. It is more of a tradition thing." He replied, gazing into my eyes. "I see. Tradition for...?" I lightly questioned. "Celebration!" He beamed, his accent was almost like a deep stutter. "Of the accords. For once, there is peace." He finished, once again resting his eyes on mine.

I hummed a smile. "Yes. Though, I heard a rummer of a civil war." I made sure my tone was clueless and innocent. I immediately saw his body stiffen and his eyes grow a bit nervous. "Really?" He questioned. "Yes. Something about a Star Spangled Man with a plan, rebelling? I don't even know it's probably silly to even consider it." I softly chuckled. He was more guarding when I brought up Captain America. Though when I mentioned it to be silly he seemed to relax more.

"Do you... Think it's true?" I whispered nervously. He smiled weakly. "I think that if there was a threat it was neutralized. No need to worry about any Star Spangled Man running about with his one armed companion." He reassured me. I had to force a smirk from breaking out on my lips.

He just gave me everything I needed. Now I just need an exit.

"That's a relief." I breathed out with a smile. We continued to sway back and forth then the song got slower and less people were on the dance floor. His grip on my waist tightened ever so slightly and the space between us grew smaller.

I breathed out a smile and stared into his brown eyes, searching for a way out. "I have never met a woman like you. You are different." He spoke up. I giggled. "You hardly even know me." He just smiled. "Yes but I can feel it. You are different, special." He hummed. I had to stop myself from throwing up in my mouth.
